Mad River Mountain is on Fire

I never thought i would be making a thread here, but I just wanted to show Utah that at least they are lucky to have resorts, snow or not.

My Home mountain, Mad River Mountain, caught fire about five or so hours ago. I have no words to explain how I feel right now.

I saw that, It's just the Lodge was the heart and soul of the place. Sad day.

just drove up there and checked it out..ski season is still on and temporary buildings will be built..it is still smoldering a day later..crazy how much damage was done..

Everything's just covered in rubber and vinyl. The upstairs echoes so badly you can't hear shit that other people are saying. It feels like portage county jail, and it looks like a warehouse not a ski lodge. They should have just either added onto the old one or built something way more similar to the Boston mills lodge. It sucks not having a separate instructor hut as well, the mills one used to be money until they took the couches and TV out.

The little half steps that go upstairs suck horse cock. And according to a reliable source those are the same stairs that they have in jails for when you have ankle cuffs on. I mean c'mon wearing rental boots may be as bad as being arrested but I have faith you can scoot your little ass up a flight of stairs.

I might be wrong but I heard they're getting a fat check because they had insurance against this kind of stuff. I think the real problem is they have to put up temporary buildings for this season, there's no way they can build a whole new lodge before the season gets going.

I dont know him but maybe he does. But i was charlie. cant remember his last name, I know broke his skis in session 2 if that helps any.
