Im not from rei.com, but all you broke asses will like the prices...boots and skis especially. The fujis are so cheap Id buy them just for rails. Pretty much everything skiing is half off.

Im a college student...my boots are packed out as hell and greatly affecting my skiing. If I can get half off of $580 Langes I will do so. To put this in perspective, $580 is 1/3 my tuition, not to mention food and housing.

I've been looking for a deal on skis for a while and would snatch up a pair of Pollards right now, if I didn't have a fraudulant charge for 500 bucks on my debit card (meaning if I had money remaining in my bank account). Hopefully they will have some pairs left ater I get the charge resolved.

i get all my equip. from rei. they have a 100% gurantee on all their products. I bought some 1080's last year used them 3 times, and returned them even with the drill holes and they gave me a full discount. apparently they have some members only garage sale every month where they sell that kind of unsellable crap at a cheap price.

Well... now I have a dilemma. I bought Pollards from D-structure last week at a discounted price. They ship COD, so I haven't paid for them yet, but they'll be here soon, and I'll have to decide on that. The price difference between these two places is about 100$ cdn. So, does D-structure price match retroactively? Will they give me any store credit? Because I'd rather buy from them, sure, but that money almost pays for my bindings, and I go to university. Not the richest guy on earth, here. So... what's the word on D-structure policy?

too bad the fujatives are 159cm! but yeah who ever says REI dosen't care has their head so far up their asses. like it was said they are a co-op who gives money back to the customers takes their input on their CEOs and runs many great clean up and trail restoration programs along with donating money to avalanche courses to reduce the price so everyone can take them and not go broke so maybe you should look twice at REI

Just to let u know, their website doesn't have everything that the store does. I went into the berkeley store today and they had PE's for 179 in all sizes. freakin cheap as Fck.

^will they sell some of that stuff over the net? Those prices are cheap enough that I am seriously considering buying some skis for this season (ie Aussie winter) and getting them shipped here. Pity about some of those sizes though, I guess thats what you got to expect with those big discounts.

Lebbo, I'm assuming you are talking about getting them shipped to Australia? I have no idea. But I do know that they have free shipping if you have it shipped to a local rei store. That way you can just go pick them up in a week or two. I'm assuming rei doesn't exist in Australia tho.

I also have a question about australian skis. For this 'summer' do you guys get all the 05-06 gear, and if you do, does that shit go on sale in Australia by November or so?

Thanks JapanAir, I emailed the guys and they emailed me back a link with some PE's and 1080's. Thinking about getting those PE's, just a matter of shipping. I'm pretty sure we don't have rei down here.

As for 05/06 skis here... to be honest I am not sure. Definately where I am from they prob wouldn't since we live 10 hours from snow but they do have some skis in the shops here (but they are hell over priced, like Mad Trix from a year or so back sell for prob $750US, and the Seth Pistol like $800US). But places closer to the snow like Jindabyne and Melbourne prob get in this years stuff. Anyone else want to help me out here....

theyre a little bigger than you, but i would guess you could handle them. and theyre soft, so i think you might want to pick them up, cuz its a really good deal. it depends on how good you are.

PE's aren't that soft, if your an intermediate skier and you are just getting into park, I wouldn't suggest PE's in 169. Especially since they are taller than you.
