Macbook question

i just got a macbook for christmas and have been figuring out the mac software all day(switched from windows), but i cant figure out what i am supposed to use for word processing, anyone know? it is os tiger if that helps

Microsoft office is actually, honestly, better on Mac than it is on Windows. Powerpoint, however, is put to shame by Keynote, so I recommend you get both MS Office and the iWork suite. Done. I've solved 99% of your productivity problems.
