The normal Macbook is basically only useful for checking your email and watching porn. It doesn't have a firewire port and my penis is larger than the screen. Macbook pro 17 ftw.

I disagree. I have the original MacBook (the once that came with a firewire port) and after adding another gig of ram it is just as efficient as a Pro. I edit HD video, run Windows, and everything else. Performance has never been as issue. However, because the new MacBook does not have a firewire port, the Pro may be a better choice. In all honesty, I would buy a new original MacBook on ebay.
