Macbook pro .... dead

2 days ago I was just surfing the interwebs on my 3 months old MBP when suddenly it went off. When I tried to power it on again, absolutely nothing happened, not even the fans or the HDD started. So I took it to apple and they said my logic board was fucked... So everything's good, but this has got me worried. I was wondering if this was a common problem because I'd like to keep this computer for as long as possible, and having it break all the time is not something I need.

Your motherboard being fucked isn't "all good".

oh yeah, I forgot to say it's still under warranty and they're replacing it for free, that's what's all good, not the MB being fucked

no, just the normal 1 year warranty that comes with it... Has anyone heard about this happening to anybody else?

nope a logic board failure is quite common but it usually doesnt happen within 3 months. mine went after 2 years on a mac pro desktop ($900, thank you applecare took care of it). it has to do with the processor compatibility. sorry for your mpb but it happens to all apples it seems like.http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1995151&start=0&tstart=0
