I know there are a lot of different options including screen size and everything that can effect the price, so instead of going through the research I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the cheapest MacBook is and how much it is??

you are seriously retarded and are everything that is wrong with the internet.

and 5 year olds dont need macbooks. s mah d

Just look around online. I found my 09 White Macbook, in damn near perfect condition, on craigslist for $275.....

Well quite clearly the cheapest you can possible get would be if you would steal one. It doesn't come with the warranty then and probably no box with Apple stickers. Oh and let's not forget the ethical debate.

then that'd probs be the MacBook Air (i think) since it's thinner

my uncle bought me a nice mac on ebay for pretty cheap. apparently the guy who had it before spilled

soda on it and sold it broken. then my uncle just fixed it up. the guy was also a budding musician who had 2000+ songs on it haha

but i'd say just get it on ebay or something

13-inch: 2.5 GHz 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz 4GB 1600MHz memory 500GB 5400-rpm hard drive1 Intel HD Graphics 4000 Built-in battery (7 hours)$1,199.00. That's the cheapest one

No doubt, my dads got the air, shit is awful. i got a macbook pro and its basically the shit. don't go cheap and regret it, just spend the money and get a really solid laptop that will last years.

no, its not. i have no problem with my air at all. it works for exactly what i bought it for and it was money well spent

i used to think so to until I realized that not everyone uses a computer for their full potential. If all you are using the computer for is web browsing, social networking, and writing papers a mac book air is sweet. its so light and portable and it will last forever. my imac is like 7 years old and is a tank. a mac book air wouldnt slow after 2 years like a shitty pc. oh and it has flash storage which is fast as fuck

a macbook air is indeed a macbook. a 13" air compared to a 13" pro really isnt that different. the processor on the pro is slightly faster. the only other differences are storage and cd slot. i cant remember the last time i needed a cd. also i dont need a large 500gb hdd. so, the air works fine for me. the 128gb of solid state is incredibly fast, and i dont need more storage. i can reboot it faster than i can my iPhone. so the air isnt a bad computer, it just depends what you need it for.

I don't think I've ever used my disk drive. It's an archaic waste of space, my next computer definitely won't have one.

I just dropped $1500 on a new Toshiba and it doesn't even have a floppy disk drive, whattheFUCK?!

But really, my work just gave me a Toshiba somethingoranother. Thinner than the MB Air, solid state drive, i7 processor, and no CD drive. They're becoming obsolete, aside from drivers which can just as easily be downloaded from the internet. OR, if you need one that badly, get an external optical drive that plugs into a USB port.

My next computer is gonna come with an optical drive bay stock, but I'm switching it out with a converter so I can have a second external HD. 1TB @ 7200 RPMs with RAID 0. Almost as awesome as getting a SSD, except 1/10th the price.

In my house we have two macbooks and a macbook pro (This years). We have the smallest screen size but the video quality is fuckin amazing. I would go with the macbook pro in the medium size, but the smaller one is good to.

Macbook airs are the perfect ultramobile computers for most students. They don't do what I need a computer to do, but I think MBPs are often overkill.

if you have editing programs like sony vegas and buy the disk version. My other alienware laptop is pretty nice, but not for a student
