recently purchased a macbook 13 inch , and final cut doesnt work. Says i need a AGP graphics card... does the new macbook come with a graphics card or do i need to buy one? is my final cut acting up or what
nope. i think none of the programs like that actually work on intels... well thats what i've been told, or it could just be macbooks. but anyways you're just gonna have to wait around for final cut to be developed a little more

Also I am pretty sure all programs that ran on the old PowerPC chips will run on the new Intel chips, but they have to go through a layer of emulation, this leading to a hit in performance. But Final Cut does have a Universal binary so that means it can run natively on the intel machines.
That isn't anything to do with the emulation. Macbooks come with onboard integrated graphics. They don't have a graphics card. You can't have an AGP card for a macbook.
I figured it might have been a problem with the integrated graphics. I just stated the emulation stuff to say how its still possible to run older programs on the new intel machines
Like I said, Final Cut should still run. I've seen it run on many macbooks before. Just make sure its version 5.1 because theres no way any previous versions will run.
