Mac wizzes, connecting MacBook Pro to TV

Hey i was wondering if it's possible to use a DVI (mbp's video slot) to RCA (red, white, and yellow plugs) cord such as this: http://www.amazon.com/DVI-I-RCA-Component-Cable-6ft/dp/B000Q6RL9Q

I really know jack shit about this, but we only have an old school TV at school with RCA input. Any help would be appreciated.

go on the apple store or amazon and buy the adapter needed for whatever cable you want

Just pick up a dvi to mini dvi (or whatever port your mac uses) and you are good to go.

no macbook has ever had or will ever have a dvi. they have mini dvi's if thats. They have many style a converter for this type of cable, its all about finding the right one.

So if I tell him and then you what cord he needs, what point are you trying to make?
