Mac question

now i own a PC and all and i was wondering what Mac has to compare for certian programs like Microsoft Office on the PC (powerpoint, word, etc) or do these programs work on a Mac?

i dont know much about them but do they (im sure they do...) and if they do what are the programs called?

i have the microsoft office student edition on my mac, it has word, powerpoint, excel, msn messenger, and... i think there might be one more but i cant remember it, something i dont use anyways.

ok thats cool. i just like using the mac's but i am really comfortable using the microsoft programs. i just didnt know if Apple developed there own software for the macs or not

no appleworks is just a different program its sort of like Microsoft office i guess u can consider it a mac version. Mac has Microsoft Office and many argue that it is better than the pc version. if u plan on gettin a mac get the new G5 its sick. but yea bill gates and microsoft have been working with apple extensively on creating more dual optionned software with the addition of ipods and all that to the pc it will only get larger
