Someone in my area is selling a Mac Pro bought in 2010 and a 30" Apple Cinema monitor bought in 2009 for $1800 cash.

The specs of the Mac are:

2.93GHz Quad Core Intel Xe

24GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB

3x 2TB 7200 rpm Serial ATA 3GB

Opitcal Drive 18x Superdrive

Airport Extremem WiFi Card

Comes with original boxes and the computers still under Apple care till the end of 2013.

Let me know if this is a good deal!

Cheers,

Gino

Other than the graphics card, its pretty legit. Maybe stolen? those apple cinema displays are like 2k themselves...

Seems pretty legit.

Wouldn't say it's stolen considering the box comes with it (and there's apple care).

The computer itself isn't really good. The Xeon processors are really outdated and having 'only' 4 isn't really going to cut it, even though there's plenty RAM.

I looked on ebay and those displays are going for around 500$.

If I'd get a macpro it would at least be a 8-core

Nah it's not stolen, just old equipment from a professional photographer that's moving out of country soon...

Yeah, fuck it actually. I could build a much more powerful PC for the same price.

more like half the price

mac pros are the most overprices piece of computer equipment ever. Imacs are a close second, I still find value in MBPs.

Same here.

I'd NEVER buy any Apple products besides their MBP's. Those are great, but Air, iMac, Macpro, ipad, iphone etc are all WAY overpriced I think.

iPad and iPhone and Air are priced fairly, competition is at the same price point. iMac is even value for money: 27 inch ips display's are a 1000 bucks, and this one has an entire computer inetgrated in it.

Mac Pro is overpriced, but then again it's so good looking.

I'd want one so I can put it on a pedestal as the pinnacle of desktop pc design.
