he has some good beats and uses some decent samples but i still dont care for his music. i honestly cant listen to one of his songs all the way through other than "heatwave"
 
He's pretty good, some bad songs some decent ones.

Probably Donald Trump, Senior Skip Day and Nikes on my Feet are his best.

His music appeals to people like me: white kids who live in the suburbs. So I like him and hes also got pretty solid flow, he is on a decline though.
 
I dont like white rappers in general but fuckin ay he's makin more money than ever will and I gotta give him props for that so I guess this is the only song that describes him

well considering he's not a pop singer, then yes I would agree.

When looking at hip-hop music, he is great. He has been blowing up the scene and will continue on. Nothing people like more than a white rapper making it
 
this is the issue. his new shit is whack as he inevitably starts to make pop-ier tracks

however most of the haters have only heard his dumb popular songs and dont realize how talented he is. he does sick freestyles and his old shit is fire
 
if you honestly think this you are deaf. mac miller has a couple decent songs but chris webby is where its at. yes they are both white rappers but webby actually has talent, a sick flow, and intelligent lyrics.
 
both, when privileged white people attempt to get into a genre about expressing opinions and sharing troubles about having next to nothing and being oppressed and beaten by racist police, and all they talk about is how cool they are for smoking weed or how nice their shoes are it takes the sellout level of the genre to a whole new level. forget how sold out rap has been since biggie and tupac, the worst artists for the art form have been vanilla ice, that little douche that sang I love college and these white little canadian boys that think smoking weed is a culture.

Also the music sucks if you actually listen to it. I don't give a shit about your shoes or if you're the last one left. It's not entertaining. Repetitive beats and sampling the same shit for the entire song is about as boring as watching paint dry. Yeah you can have a cool sounding beat but if thats all i hear for 2 minutes straight i want to blow my brains out.
and yes there are shitty black rappers as well, 99% of what is on MTV and the radio actually.
Thats not to say that there is no good rap and no good rappers, Common Market, Immortal Technique, blu and exile, the Roots etc have poetically stimulating music where the beat serves secondary to the spoken word. When I listen to rap I don't want to hear a 12 year old's word repertoire coming out of a skinny white 16-24 year old with clothes too big for his body and a punk bitch attitude, I want to hear something that makes me go "wow that sounds good and you gave me something to think about" or "I never thought about that issue from the point of view you're giving to me" or maybe just "damn I cant believe you thought of that"
 
I understand what you are saying, but who says rap has to be about being beaten by police and being depressed and oppressed and stomped to shit? There have been plenty of songs by artists like Biggie, Pac, Wu-Tang and many others that have nothing to do with being oppressed.

It's the same as any modern rock... Rock started out as a sub-genre of blues but now it has grown to the point where not every rock song is written by a black man sitting on his porch strumming his steel guitar singing about being oppressed by the white man.

Hip-hop is just growing.
 
im just saying that raps soul has been sucked out by privileged whities and sellouts in general. Biggie= from the hood trying to get a better life, tupac same deal, immortal technique= expressing a message about social issues, common market = poetic rap about many topics.

 
how is their music worthless? some people enjoy it. I do. People hate on music way to much honestly. Music is somthing to enjoy
