Alright guys, Im thinking about taking out a loan to buy a new mac, either mac pro or mac book pro good for final cut studio 2.... can anyone help me out, what really is the best course etc etc.. Thank you!

i have a macbook pro and i run final cut studio on it,  if you can get the 17 inch, but the 15 inch is still ok,  get the faster hard drive if you can, especially if thats what your putting fcs2 on.  and you WILL need an external hard drive for all the footage and stuff,  i got a g-tech g drive and its awesome.

I'd wait on the Mac Pro. Its due for an up date. unsubstantiated nerd speculation on macrumors.com is that there will be a new processor for it soon. BTW I just got a MBP its great for print/web but i havent done video.

yeah dog if you can get a shitty job for a couple months, save a couple grand, and just quit. but i have the mcabook pro and i use it daily for my design classes. i just loaded final cut express on it and it works fine. my friends have final cut pro and it can handle it. it is called the macbook PRO because it is dsigned to handle all of their pro applications.
