Mac Book Pro!

also i just bought the exact same lapper brand new for 1050 canadian loonies.1200 is steep
 
Wouldnt buy a macbook if my life depended on it. Only reason to own one is if your a house wife, teenage girl, or a graphic artist or whatever. Most useless computer iv ever owned in my life so glad im back on a pc now.
 
macbooks are ideal for typing up papers and scouring the net for hardcore porn. what else do you need?
 
yeah it sucks having a quad core i7, 8 gigs of ram, Nvidea graphics card, SSD, and super high res 15" screen that I can look at from any angle. All in a thin, quiet package with a battery that lasts all day.

I don't like really like OSX compared to some linux distros. But there is NO other computer hardware that is close to as nice as the macbook pro retina.

It's been 1.5 years and there has been no great linux solutions for this computer. Oh well. Install macports or homebrew and download the command line tools and MacTeX all that extra stuff and it's basically just as good. There is a reason basically every math and physics (and probably others) have a MBP. They are nice fucking computers.
