saved the $6 roll of ilford with the $2 roll of kodak. I really shouldn't have used my nice film for the first roll on the ME.

Oh boy does film taste bad though.
 
I want the absolutely massive limited two volume edition that comes in a crate together with the special Tadao Ando designed stand, knowing full well that in ten years time it will be worth more.

They have it on display in the Amsterdam Taschen store and just even a slight glance already makes me nurse a semi.

On the topic of books, does anyone have "The Art of Photography" by Bruce Barnbaum? how helpful is it or is it more of just something I should get from a library and read it once
 
I just use the leader, advance it once before I close it so that both holes are engaged, make sure it's tight and go, never really had a problem with it and I would assume you save a frame of film.

You could do that but depending on how much snip off you can lose a frame and you will definitely lose some cool points.
 
Just picked a Pakon scanner for 215 shipped from AAA imaging! So pumped to stumble upon this deal. Time to learn how to develop....

Ah thanks, I should be able to find some on craigslist. Film is still pretty alive here in Rochester
 
Thinking about ordering one of these + the sigma 18-35 1.8 soon. Let me know how you like it / post some sample footage soon!
 
ya man, my friends dad is the VP of marketing or something. I keep hinting at grabbing some film for me but no luck :(
 
How did that first roll of yours turn out Zach? Also, please tell me you've meanwhile developed a couple more rolls...
 
I don't know, he posted something on facebook like two weeks ago where he said he did his first succesfull self develop, but he was still rinsing. I'm wondering how that turned out...
 
The only local photo lab charges $12 for C-41 and $18 for E-6 which doesn't include any scans or prints (addl $10 for scans to disc... Per roll). I can get $10 for C-41 and $13 for E-6 with scans included online.
 
You can use it, but it will become a grandest if you push it.

Also doesn't Ilfosol have the strange tendency to suddenly go dead?
