M&A stoke

hahahahahah we're of different breeds!

I know what kind of equipment i need to make the kind of images i want to make - is there so much wrong with that?!?

He's only saying that as I'm buying Balto's old Leica so I've been looking into lenses lately. Also not at all, thats exactly why I'm buying the M6.....

Tomorrow night we are premiering our 12/13 season film to 1200 people right before the Sherpas movie plays at Freshtival in Calgary. We just finished the movie yesterday so I am unbelievably stoked but very nervous at the same time. The movie will be online on Saturday via our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/403MEDIA

first fine art print on paper i actually care about.

Picked up a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 from Craigslist on a whim because it was a great deal and needed to fill the focal length range. VERY stoked on the results the lens produces, especially the bokeh when wide open.

Also pushed myself in a new direction with editing this piece and it just exceeded 1k views in the first 24 hours!

Just scored more fun lenses to play with.

Pentax-A 24-50mm f4

Pentax-A 50mm f1.4

Pentax-A 70-200mm f4

Pentax-A 85mm f2

Also came with a Pentax P3, but I doubt I'll ever use that. The lenses should be fun though.

Both true b+w and slide are more expensive to buy and develop at my lab, and c41 is like 6 bucks after discounts, but I have a roll of B+W in my Pentax ME right now and plan on trying a few rolls of velvia 50 soon. It is more just seeing some stuff in color vs all black in white is a nice change.

I posted in the best photography thread a few color shots and I really enjoyed your crit last time so please help me out if you can.

Velvia is 10$+ per roll in 135. Ridiculous.

I just ordered 80 rolls of Arista Premium (135) and 20 rolls of Fomapan 200 (120). Thank god for American film prices.

I have a bunch of expired Provia sitting around and an absolute crapload of expired Ektachrome 160T.

I just wish it was 120, because I just haven't really shot 35mm since I moved to Tahoe.

Just picked up the Tokina 17mm, Helios 58, and Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135mm f/3.5 all with adapters stoked on these

Just released our film titled Doing it Live. We would love for you guys to check it out. Right now its only visible with a link via our facebook page so check out facebook.com/403media.

Cheers!

Just had a crazy busy weekend, shooting my two first paid video jobs. One was filming and editing a video of the Pumpkin Fest in my town for a website called HooplaHa. We broke the world record for most lit jackolanterns. The other was as a camera guy for a music video for a local band. Pretty happy with some of the shots I got. Here's the super rough first cut:

Overall just really stoked to finally be getting a paid a little bit to do what I love!

Just did some quick previews, There might be some golden shots in there.

Also € 3,35 for developing @ Fuji with a 1 stop push and € 4,75 for developing and pushing Delta 3200 -> 6400. (I'm lazy) then to mention I get another 10% discount because I have a customer card, I love my new photolab.

Thift shop haul:

Ricoh XR Rikenon 50mm 1f/1.7

Vivitar 70-150mm Close focus.

Nikon HS-6 lens hood.

Two 52mm Vivitar filters.

Been looking into it, and it looks to be basically a digital F3 with no video capabilities, an EVF/OVF hybrid, and a full frame sensor with the capabilities to use any F-Mount lens since 1959.

I am currently taking a picture. I set my ME with a 50mm at f11, 2x overexposure, and asa set to 100 with 400 film in the camera. It is still exposing after 10 minutes.

That shouldn't be happening. The ME should close the shutter after 2 seconds on Auto mode. If it's in B, then that's the only way it could be exposing that long. Chances are that that frame and the ones next to it are blown out hard and you won't get a thing from it.

Also, pretty stoked that some of my product shots were used in Skiing and Ski Magazine for their boot test pages, as well as most photos taken of the testers. First time having work put in a Magazine.

Will be working for Masterfit as their videographer and doing photos for them as well through the winter. Pumped!

Recently bought a Nikkormat EL body from Craigslist to get back into messing around with photography. Shot about half of my first roll and have NO idea if the film is even loaded properly. I don't know why, but the uncertainty is somewhat exhilarating! The plan is to get this first roll developed and scanned this week. Assuming anything comes out, I'll post the results here.

I wish i could contemplate live whilst feverishly blowing dust of my Nikon DF next to a campfire.

With all the (positive) hype around it I can be it will be more of a hit than a flop. The Xvario flopped because it was a fucking P&S...

to be fair its the nicest p&s ever made with a nearly perfect lens, and for the type of photography its intended for you dont need super fast glass
