The tall nikon one is a thermos. so awesome

my dad got a 24-70 mug and i didn't know about it. first time he showed it to me he was like "check out my new lens!" and fucking throws it fifteen feet across the room to me. almost had a heart attack trying to catch it

Went so well, photos came out great, way easier than I thought it was going to be, I'll have a few samples up later in the week, shot just over 1000 for 9 hours so it's going to take me some time.

Well maybe for you it isn't, but for the common folk peasants like us, I think 25 may be a bit spendy on a single scan.

yeah I know how much drums are. If it's for a school project or paid job then it's definitely worth it. But if you're just posting snapshots on the internet then that is ridiculous

Bingo. I don't think anything I've shot justifies a drum scan.

Tom, if anything the primary cause of lack of sharpness is from shooting 1/4 sec on a Gorillapod in mud. I need a full sized photo tripod...

Especially when you already own a scanner.

...If I'm going to blow up an image to like, gallery wall size proportions, and sell it for stupid cashflow? then sure, I'll get a drumscan. Till then? Epson dat bitch.

Man not having any internet and cell service in the middle of yellowstone sucks! notttttttt

so beautiful here, being an ubertourist taking so many photos. Wish it wasn't cloudy last night so I could take star photos

B&U update:

We have found and are about the purchase locally a great condition jobo processor with 4 chem baths! E-6 and C-41 production will be 100% concisdent with this unit and over all work will be cut back greatly, leaving time to focus on scanning.

So I got picked up another spotmatic for parts and what do you know it came with a super tak 50/2 and upon closer examination it has the faintest amount of (what appears to be) fungus. Because I got it for next to nothing, I was thinking of dismantling the lens to clean it. Thoughts/experience?

if you dismantled it and you couldn't get it back together, would you still have a similar lens?

How do you like the spotmatic? I am looking at getting a K1000 which is pretty much the same camera.

just got 10k worth of software put on my computer for free!!

some including avid, cinema 4d, fcp 7, etc...

also picked up a nice little 1 TB external and organized all my shit which feels awesome and my macbook is running a ton faster!

Also super stoked to really delve into avid 7!!!

Just bought a fuji x20 on ebay. I decided i don't need my slr and it will be easier to just go out and shoot with a smaller compact camera.

On a related note; anyone interested in a 40d, 10d, rokinon 8mm, or 50 1.8?

What kind of interest would there be in dev/scanning? How much would would some of you be willing to pay? Flat scans or corrected?

I would 100% send you E6 stuff if you did it. Dev only unless scanning is a bitch and you can do it well
