Hi guys!

I just finished putting together my 2014 reel, I was thinking of doing a sound design once i've completely polished it.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

I really liked it, amazing job. But I don't really think the part where the people were talking didn't really fit it.

What cam/lenses did you film this with? Looked really good

I thought it was fine, good to show different interview set ups. Bring the highlights down a touch on the shot of the older guy talking though. Also try adding white to the left side of that image to cover up that background. Make a solid, use the eyedropper tool to match the white right next to it, and then blur the edge of it. It will make it look a bit more professional

Looks really good overall

Or just zoom enough to crop that piece out. Best real I have seen in a long time for sure, Hope to get on your level some day.

Overall really well done. Great variety of subject matter. Looks like you've been doing a lot of really cool projects.

The first 3 shots didn't strike me as that great. Cool perspective, but the light was awful. I'm actually surprised that you decided to lead off with those.

Other than that I would say you killed it. The shot with the moon was so cool. Good stuff dude!

I loved it, great job. I don't really like how you used a couple shots from your reel from last year though. I feel like you should keep it new

awesome! fun to watch. The first shots seemed like they didn't match the quality of the rest of the reel

For an edit overall, ya this stuff looks weird, but for a reel its pretty important IMO

Nice work zac

IMO since it's a reel to send to clients, I wouldn't been too worried about reusing a song.

I think this one is better than the one you showed me a few days ago Zac. I like the few clips you changed out. Also the first interview shot fits a lot better than the other one you had. One transition felt a little weird to me though. The shot at 1:30 of the switch 2 onto the rail after the sunset shot just rubs me wrong and I also dont know how i feel about that time ramp. But thats just me. Otherwise I love it.

i would keep the interview shots, just dont have them talking, more of a portrait of them. Also that last urban shot wit the flag should be put somewhere else, the last two shots just seemed silly together.

In the beginning is seemed like some of the cuts were mistimed to the music, but other that that I thought it was brilliant. I really liked how the shots were sorted, that the reel began with the three aerial shots with early morning-light and that the shots kept getting brighter, until they began to get darker again, just like the light during a day. It is exactly those kind of details that professional clients want, that you have a thought-process behind everything you do, not just clipping random cool shots together.

awesome. I don't know why but that shot of the girl doing a hand heart thing with the flickering lights seemed fucking magical. some sound would definitely be a nice touch

I just updated it, changed a wedding shot, fixed the interview shot, changed the pace of the start and swapped the last two shots!

I'm not a huge fan of the fact that you split up the wedding/food stuff like it was originally cut. You have three wedding related shots, then it cuts to two skating clips, which on my first run through seemed like a drastic transition. After those though it was cut well, i dont know if you have another wedding shot you could use that might be a better segway into the skating (outdoors/full body shot might help?)
