im a senior in high school and i pretty much never lie to my parents unless its very very called for. I know people whos parents are so uptight that they have to lie and make up stories for every single little thing, its rediculous. like if they ask where im going ill tell em and then if they dont like it i tell em would you rather me lie to you then i put in "i do what i want" but i pretty much always try to tell the truth. lemme know what you people think, or if you just lie to em all the time
 
sometimes i gotta lie. my parents can be uptight about some things, and cool about others. i just gotta pick my battles.
 
My parents always ask me how i did on a test. And i always just say good, but i havent passed a quiz yet this year. But i got 80 percent on a unit final :)
 
Idk, i dont really ever lie, im just like you, straight up about what i do, exept my mom doesnt care about drinking/parties, but my dad does so when i tell my mom she is like dont tell be this, then when my dad asks i tell him "oh we just spent atleast 250 on beer and we are probly gunna go into the woods by ryans house get TRASHED with a couple girls..." and he thinks i am joking
 
I fucked myself over with my parents.I used to lie all the time about drinking and where i was. Then i got caught. Lost som trust. Then i got caught again. Now im trying to get the respect and trust back so i litteraly dont do ANYTHING wrong, havent drank or smoked in something like 6 months. I tell the truth about everything, but they still think im lying. They drug test me and give me alcho-screens everytime i come home from like a dance or something, its pretty gay.
 
just lie to them all the time, its the key to there hearts afterall

just tell them what they want to hear and youll be set for life

i mean just look what it did for the guys at enron, they were rich
 
Very true, but it will come back and bite oyu in the ass.

For me, i lied to parentsw about my 11th grade research paper which i didnt do, and they found out and ther was hell to pay.
 
i used to lie to my parents about drink all the time but then one day i was just liek fuck it and told them and they wernt mad or nutin they dont really care as long as im not driving or anything
 
really u guys have to lie?? ill just be like mom im going to friends to party or smoke and shell be like ok seth just dont get in trouble and dont do anythnig stupid
 
I'll bend the truth if it's something minor, otherwise i'm pretty straight up. My dad is a legend though, so i don't have much to worry about.
 
Never lie when you don't have to...Or if you lie just leave out the bad shit and tell them every thing else you did.
 
wow the story of my summer. First week I got caught and wasnt allowed out of my room. My summer sucked ass. Now I do nothing and Im trying to earn some trust. I dont get tests though. At least there letting me ski!
 
my parents used to be cool about stuff like that..i would just say im going to a freinds house and they wouldnt question it..but a few weekends ago i got cought drunk as fuck at a party when i told them i was sleeping at my friends house..now whenever i go to peoples houses they have to talk to the parents..so now i just go to the same kids house every weekend cause its so easy to sneek out of his house
 
my mom has been freaking out at me, i skipped practice and she thinks me and my other freind have been out doin whatever and ive been home all afternoon, for some reason my car engine is still all hot, but i know i havent driven for at least an hour and a half or two
 
oh my god fuck every noob in teh last month.

like 20 kids joined a month ago and have 100 more posts than me, you guys need to chill out and absorb more than you put in at first. you have no feel for this site yet and you just post useless horse shit all day.

and as long as i dont

they'll be down to let me do whatever

as long as i actually follow threw with having a life instead of becoming some kind of crackhead
 
i usually dont lie, sometime I just dont say shit so i guess it s not lying... but most of the time I say where im going ... i dont have much to hide anyway... im skiing half of the year lol..

I'll tell them if I'm going out to a party and shit. If it's somewhere I know they won't want me to go then I'll just alter the details. If they ask about specifics I'll either give generalized answers or sometimes give small lies. Nothing usually too serious though.
