Lets see if we can make enough noise as a community between now and the 2014 winter games to get someone to represent and convey our sport to the general population the way it should.
To summarize a good point i saw recently in a related thread; Look at snowboarding, its been how long now and they still have not got that right, how can we expect them to get it right with something as new to them as skiing?
Everyone in the community for the most part loves LVV as an announcer. He has the knowledge of the sport to properly convey what is happening without making himself and everyone else look like a jackass in the process, and the broadcast personality to retain a professional feel for the show.
I realize this is just a thread in ski gabber and nbc most likely isn't trolling around here looking for ideas for the Olympics, but NS and skiing itself as a community is fairly resourceful. Look at all the effort that put forth by the community just to get into the games to begin with, it paid off for sure.
So NS, lets put forth some effort and see what we can accomplish. Even if its not LVV i would rather see someone who knows our sport conveying it to the masses than some random nbc shmuck. If we dont speak up for ourselves who will?
