Luzern, Switzerland

I will be studying in Switzerland this coming year. I just found out my host family and I will be living in a town named Rothenburg, which is near Luzern. Does anyone live near here? What is Rothenburg like? How big is the town? And, where is the closest/best place to ski if you live near Luzern? Thanks for your help!

i live near lucerne in a ski resort named engelberg it's about half an hour with car from lucerne and it's great maybe you've seen jon olssons part in session 1242 lots of takes were shot in engelberg especially the huge kicker over the crevases also jamie pierres crazy cliff drop was shot in engelberg check it out on www.johanfogelstrom.com wehave not a perfect park just some rails and a quite nice quarterpipe but backcountry is amazing lucerne is also a very nice city little but some cool clubs to party rothenburg is very little but not too bad maybe little hot in summer other places to ski are sörenberg (nice park maybe 30 minutes from lucerne) andermatt crazy backcountry 1 hour with the car from lucerne) and more so maybe we'll see us on the slopes this winter peaceetc
