Lutsen Mountain?

Has anybody been there? How is it? Park good? Is it a super busy mountain? Tree skiing?

+k for responses just curious if it would be worth the trip...

It's nice for Midwest standards. Is the park good? No. I don't even know why they try sometimes. Is it a super busy mountain? Generally no, it rarely has lift lines especially on the weekdays. Tree skiing is meh. They have some average tree runs, but they can get really tracked out fast and icy on account of the low frequency of measurable storms. My advice is only go to Lutsen if you know it's going to snow, otherwise you are pretty much paying for an experience you could get most anywhere else.

Now Bohemia on the other hand...

Their express chair is illegally fast, they got the new gondola too. Go if the conditions are looking good, they've got some sweet terrain but you've just got to keep your eyes peeled.

I love going to lutesen. The park is usually not really on point although I do remember some number of years ago when the park was all on mystery mountain it was a lot of fun i thought. The long runs are really cool you don't really get that anywhere else in the midwest. I love just nollieing over the huge hills that they have really fast and feeling like I am in the air forever. I think that it is pretty much always worth the trip.

The park on moose was really sweet in 2011 but I didn't really ride park. They had a bunch of beautiful step over jumps and a canon tube to a barrel tap. That was the only year they did it right. The days of the mystery mountain parks (pre-2010) were super sketchy from what I remember.

Point being, don't ever go to lutsen to ride park.

well said. I remember that year too, that park was lit.

I went up there for 5 days this past weekend. The park is terrible and it is ran by an ignorant dude who doesn't take constructive criticism, so don't even try. Here's an edit I made from my trip. Sorry for the cringy generic EDM music but let's be honest, rap doesn't fit an all-mountain edit
