Lucid dream thread

So I have been able to fully control dreams for about 2 years. I started practicing to lucid dream by pinching myself, dropping things, and jumping during the waking hours of the day. When I would be going to bed i would write X's on my palms and watch my hands as I fell asleep. Basically the idea is that in your dream you will jump and physics will be different. Drop something and it won't fall. Pinch and not feel. And my personal favorite look at your hands and not see X's. I remember the first time I "woke up" in my dream basically i looked at my hands, noticed there were no X's and looked around then immediately woke up. It was such a rush like definitely one of the weirdest sensations ever. I then started being able to have waking dreams and do some sick shit. Its not like fully controlled sometimes. For example you may still be doing one thing then the next moment you are doing something else. It doesn't seem out of the ordinary though. Like the other night i was skiing in a dream and then i finsihed this line and I was walking at the base. But everything I was doing was controlled. ANyone have especially sick lucid dreams? Re-occuring lucid dreams? Techniques of better lucid dreaming?

i can't per say control my dreams but i can talk to myself in them sometimes, kind of like i realize i'm dreaming, tell myself i'm dreaming, change my course, but don't really wake up. haven't had dreams like that in a while, but there was a good few years when i had them almost every other night. some really vivid crazy stuff. i've had a lot of reoccuring location dreams too. different series of events but in the same places.

Happens pretty frequently for me. I used to be really into trying to induce it. Now it just happens here and there. Cool shit

haha I was just reading the other thread that turned into a lucid dream thread. It sounds awesome, so I might have to check it out. threads

Try like consciously taking time out of the day to prove your awake so drop something jump up and down or pinch yourself and say like I am awake. At night write X's on your hands and look at them as you sleep just tell yourself when you look at your hands and don't see the X's you're asleep. And just repeat all of that consistently everyday. It will not happen in one day it takes time sometimes a month or two before you even have any sort of waking dream realization and i bet the first time it happens you wake up pretty fast cuz it's very abnormal and a weird sensation. Then you just practice keeping your cool and eventually you can do whatever you want in a dream fly around stomp triple corks . Whatever you know just takes practice

done it a few times. its really hard for me to not wake up upon realizing I'm dreaming. takes mad practice. props if you can do it alot, I like the X on the hands idea, gonna try it. lucid dreams really are trippy, trippy shit, but can seem almost real at times, or at least like a livid, fake reality. hopefully some day I will be able to lucid ski and finally land a fucking rodeo.

So why is it every time I realize I'm dreaming in my dreams, I wake up within seconds. Because if logging my dreams will help me control that then I'll give it a shot.

i had one once and for some reason the first thing that poped into my mind when i was semi lucid was "fuck bitches" so i did. gonna try to get it on lock i was thinking whenever i see a clock mirror or my feet that i will look at my braclets which i never take off. Would that work also have you ever ttried t brainwave entrainment for lucid dreaming?

i sleep walk and sleep talk and am fully aware that i am sleepwalking/talking while i do it, its fuckin sick the only reason i know its a dream is when i shoot fire from my hands

Probably, I get more and more stoked every time I read about it. After exams are done I'm gonna try to work towards lucid dreaming.

Like OP said, dream test the shit out of your life like you have OCD and the results will soon come. As for staying in the dream and minding your dream guardian, I opt to teleport away into another locale instead of "safe" places.

It'll be worth it.

Holy Shit. I just slept from 12 to 12 and had two incredibly vivid but not lucid dreams and one lucid dream. soo stoked. I haven't been able to do this so I stopped with my dream log and shit and then this just randomly happens.

i remember when i ''woke up'' in my dream and realized what i was doing was impossible (hanging from a chairlift cable to skip lift lines) so i decided to drop and enjoy the ride but fell off my bed. it was lulz. true story

i have a couple lucid dreams a month usualy differant ones but iv had two lucid dreams that come back to me and iv had them around 10 times each. i can control everything that goes down in the ones that come back to me but the other random ones i have some control but not lots and the weird thing is iv never practiced or done anything to induce them

I've had lucid dreams for as long as I remember. Even as a kid. Thing is, I really don't remember anything else other than that.
I think it came about cause I used to have night terrors. Now I'm down to just having really vivid horrible nightmares that I need to control to not totally freak out. Yesterday for instance. I had a dream that my sister was brutally murdered with a shot gun in front of me. The rest of the dream was filled with me avenging her death.
Last night was quite a nice one... Guy that peaks my interest came to hang out. Things were going lovely... Then the dentist called and I was back to reality.

I've never put much effort into this but I do notice when I'm dreaming now. Usually when I become fully aware of my dream though I wake up. Really cool thing to have happen.

i've been trying for a while, but it never seems to work. When i was a little kid I used to be able to control like when my dreams stopped, I used to get really scary/bad dreams and I'd be able to just say "dream out" and I'd wake up.

Yeah I remember when I was younger I used to have lucid dreams. I would realize I was dreaming but wouldn't retain any control over the dream. Especially when its a scary dream and I would just start telling myself in the dream that I was dreaming and to wake up but couldn't. Scary shit.
