LTE mounting position?

Hello NS,

just got a pair of liberty LTE's (this year's model) brand spankin from the turkey sale in whis for 250. i was wondering where i should mount the bindings considering:

-i weigh 150lbs

-i am 6'1

-i am an expert skier in general (used to race)

-i ski park maybe 75% of the time

-these skis would make up my one ski quiver

Now, i am unsure whether this has any bearing, but i'll say it just in case. when i got them mounted, i asked for them to be set at 450 (i have no idea what this is based on, but thats what's written on the ski) after the reccomendations of a couple of staff at can-ski. the PROBLEM is, the RETARD (yeah i'm angry) who mounted my skis put my bindings as far back as they can be set (according to the reccomended ski increments, he set it in "standard"). so my bindings have alrady been drilled in. is it worth it to have my bindings moved up? is the mysterious 450 even the right place to put my bindings?

help is appreciated, tanks all

uhh, the 450 I believe is mm, so he mounted it 4.5 cm back? That's pretty fucking far man, I would take it back and get them to re-mount it, if you have some kind of documentation proving they drilled it wrong. If not I'm afraid you're shit outta luck, but re-mounting skis aren't that much of a hassle. If you fill the holes right there shouldn't be any problem; generally skis can be mounted 3 or 4 times before it gets sketchy (I think, don't quote me on this).

Just mount it slightly behind center, most people won't notice the difference anyways. Center mount is a bit overrated in my opinion, unless you're a park/urban-only type skier.

There should be a point marked "cab forward", it's about 25mm back from dead centre; this is a good position in my opinion.

hey, in the same boat as you, ex racer, have mine mounted at -1.5cm and they are the nicest park ski ive skiied on! nearly worn them out tho so lookin For some cheap replacements!

*bats eyes at nicko* :)

4.5cm is waaay too Far, you wont be makin the best oF the ski there For sure!
