What colleges have good backcounty sled access near them? U or U? UNR? MSU? Western Washington? Any others? Thanks!

I have no idea, but man it must be awesome to have that setup.

Sleds=fun

Skiing=fun

Hiking=antifun

fun+fun=Lots of fun, even more-so than fun+antifun.

Tahoe has tons of sled access so you should be good to go for UNR. I can't help you out with any of the other schools but Tahoe has tons of sled access.

we have lots of mountains that you can rally your sled around. Pick a school just about anywhere in colorado and you're only a few hours away at the most. Im sure its the same just about everywhere west.

the U and USU both have tonnnns of bc accsess.just up logan canyon about 20 minuts from utah state there is tony grove. its a small lake soroundd by killer lines and epic pow. part of refresh was shot there this year and the first dud cork on a snowboard was thrown there and the general area has had shots in countless other movies.and the u has it own as well.. ever hear of guardsman pass? its a road from big cottonwood canyon to parkcity and is clossed all winter but accsesable by sleds.all allong this road has epic epic line and endless possibilities.plus it doesnt hurt that we get 400++ at tony grove and the whole upper logan canyon region. and about 500 downaround guardsman!

if by MSU you mean Michigan State, no. Michigan Tech, yes. its the only college in the country where you are allowed to drive a snowmobile to class. actually its pretty much required

University of Washington, Western Wa, Central Wa, SPU, SU... Pretty much all schools in WA sans WSU, Gonzaga and EWU where you might have to drive like 2 hours. All the first schools listed though its usually an hour or less to get into some good areas for sledding and shredding. Its the only area I know for sure, but I am going to assume there are plenty of sled spots in OR, CA, UT, CO, ID etc...

i know its not backcountry and shit. but i grew up in new york my whole life and used to snowmobile to the mountain to ski like twice a week..

mt spokane or silver, schweitzers about an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on conditions, how fast you frive etc.
