Low budget vermont skiing trip

Hey guys, here's the deal,

me and my friends are looking to do a ski trip out to Vermont, and we don't exactly know what some of the best places to ski are. A few of us have been to killington, and we loved it but want to try something different. We're trying to keep the costs low, with lodging and with ski tickets. We don't have a large enough car to sleep everyon inside so we gotta grab a hotel.

So what would you guys recommend? Where would you say is a good place to go? We were thinking about Jay Peak because I've heard it gets some good snow and has some good trees and cliffs. Looking for good parks, terrain, trees, snow, cliffs... Something that's different and fun

Thanks!

Killington is doing 2 for 1 vouchers for early season (before mid-late december) if you're looking to go for late october skiing. Mount snow is good too.

okemo is pretty lit. Im taking a trip up there with some buddies this season but we are bringing two cars so we will just be ski bummin it for a long weekend. my gf goes to okemo mountain school in the winter to train for snerberding so she's hookin us up with some tickets

If you're staying around mount snow the Matterhorn inn is pretty good, owners are super nice.

Smugglers Notch is pretty awesome and has insanely good sidecountry plus it's affordable.

yeah, go more up north - Killy and Snow have some solid parks - but the solid terrain is up near smuggs!

Look at Madriver and Sugarbush.

Sugbush is the tits

Alright, I’ll get straight to the point – stay away from Killington. Sure you might be able to get some 2 for 1 tickets, but with that you’ll also get 2 for 1 tourists.

Go north and hit Jay, you won’t be disappointed - great terrain, trees, and snow. If you’re going to make it a long weekend, I’d also think about hitting Stowe – it’s only about an hour drive from Jay and you could always stay in the middle, away from the mountains, to cut cost on lodging. Another recommendation is couch surfing – I’ve never used the site, but my buddy used it in CO this past spring on a ski trip and it saved him 3 nights worth of hotels, just a thought… good luck!

Bolton Valley. If you wanna be a scumbag(like myself) you can usually sneak onto the lifts. Night skiing there is fun and they got a lil janky park

Mad River Glen. Sugarbush is close by too if it is another shit snow year. Lodging could be pricy havent been in 15 years. But if snow is good its a magical place.
