Loveland pass road gap

So I've been thinking about this for a few years now and has it been done before (thinking yes there are tons of spots) and is it technically illegal? So set up jump at night and hit early morning or whats up?

Just trying to get some ideas flowing for this. It would be a cool thing to pull off.

I think the one really solid spot is on the south side, within half of a mile of the parking lot on the summit. I haven't been over the pass in sometime but by midwinter there is usually a big wall of snow there, only problem is that the landing might be a little-very flat. I know a lot of people think there are other good spots but I can't think of where those might be. There are a couple of potential "spots" on the north side that have super steep in-runs and landings.

Anyways, I think you have the right idea with being discrete about it. CDOT works their asses off to ensure the pass stays open all winter and they would throw quite a fit if some kids were being a traffic hazard or could set off an avalanche. Maybe sometime in the Spring? With more daylight you could be clever about it and have some flexibility.

its been done a number of times..every spot (3?)ive seen has been super sketch.

best looking option was a 30-40 foot step down to snowplow chunder landing.

there's a pic out there, wanna say the skiers name is Grifin Post, gapping tanker trucks.

fuuck sorry.

now i think that particular jump looks like 50ft or more. its late, and im bad at numbers.

its fuckin big.

it aint small. but the landing is the best ive been able to find up there, chunder and all.

that also had to be in like '03. and its still gnarly
