Lost ski

I've never skied powder deep enough to lose a ski in, or have fallen in powder and ejected.

:(

attach neon plastic straps (like the kind they use to mark trees that are going to be cut down) tie it to your boot and shove the leftover "tail" up into your pants.. it is really light so its not like it bothers you and also it is thin enough it will snap if you are in danger of ripping your leg off haha.. and this way if you ski falls of in pow you will have a better chance of finding your ski

thats a good idea. ya i was in deep wet fresh stuff, idk if u could call it powder it sucked i had to one ski down the moiuntain.

My little brother lost his ski on a pow day last year. We hiked up and found it in the summer. So theres still hope

ya ill find it in the summer. But need new skis till then. Thursday i practically had to ski snow blades. Size 141 junior salomon flyers+shit 7.0 bindings set way to low + ice = sketchiest skiing ever. Hoping to get some new ones for xmas. looking at new god park skiis longer length center mounted of course.
Any suggestions

I lost a ski last season. Powder day in december and very little was open so me and my buddies ducked under the tape. Ski got caught under a branch and it ejected. Looked for it for 4 hrs but nothing. SHITTY, SHITTY day that's for sure. But got it back this summer.
Just wait for summer to roll around, then as soon as the temperature warms up do some hiking on the mountain. Until then, gonna cost you some cash but you will have to rent / buy a new pair.
Other idea suggested to me was metal detector and a shovel

i alomost did today at vail i came off a drop leaned forward ejected into like 2ft of pow and it took awhile to find. the neon straps work suggested

I lost a ski in peak 7 bowl today at Breck. luckily some guy came along and helped me search and we eventually found it, but it wasn't easy. I honestly don't know why/how you could give up on it like that though. I was ready to spend all day looking for that thing before I gave up on it

once lost one for like an hour... was skiing by myself and blew up way harder then I thought was slashing the snow with my other ski everywhere where my tomohawk marks were and eventually found it like 60feet down over a little ridge thing in a tree well... geus it just flew

NO one was helping i had been searching for a long time and my ride/ the teams bus was gonna leave i didnt have a choice but i know what you mean man
