Lost a ski...

Long story short: I have one ak jj ski and I'm looking for some ideas on how to reuse. I don't want to make it a shot ski because it would look silly/be really hefty/etc and i already have one. Anyway I'm not feeling very creative right now so throw me a line NS. How have you fuckers reused single skis?

Or just show a dude the thread where someone already asked this question.

+K for answers obviously

Could make a coat hook rack or a shelf or something like that.

How'd you lose one?

What this guy said. Mount it by a door or above a fireplace to dry out gear in style.

Sauce me the story of how you lost a ski, sounds real interesting. For real though.

waxed my skis at my friends house night before heading to CB to chase a storm and put one of the rack latches down all half assed in a hurry. latch blew open on the highway otw to walmart for something and by the time i was able to back track and look for it the ski mustve been snatched up.

easily one of the worst nights of my life. i had to chug nyquil so i wouldn't cry myself to sleep. (talk about first world problems, shit)

i still went to cb the next morning but had to rock my all mountains in the powder

tl;dr I'm a negligent dumbass who shouldn't have nice things

I know a few people who like to paint on old decks and boards and what not so I'm gonna see if one of them would be interested making into a piece of art for me

Making it a functioning drying rack would be cool too, but im be worried about the amount of weight it could bear.

I wouldnt do something that makes it unrideable, if you found a single JJ or bought a new pair and lost another then you could still have a set. I know that sounds fucking stupid.

Yeah it sucked really bad and I had only myself to blame.

Silver lining though: I saved up and got a new pair that i like better. I tend to find myself pretty tight trees and the ak jjs didnt like to do that.

Oh well if you got another pair id just mount the other one somewhere cool

I've seen loads of old skateboards being made into jewellery and I was just thinking if you could maybe do the same with a ski? I don't know if you want to keep it intact and do something with it but if you made them into some sick rings or necklaces and sold them maybe at least you'd get some money back? Just a thought if you don't mind breaking your one ski apart

Curious as to what this jewelry looks like, hit us up with a image.

Just because it's a first world problem, doesn't mean it's not a problem

My buddy hangs his boots from his rack. It is a ski afterall. Just gotta be smart about the way you mount it up

CB is not a large town. Try to sell the other ski for super cheap and whoever wants to buy it probably has the other haha. Then you can smack them upside the head and take both skis back and walk away with their money.

Haha unfortunately it happened in denver so that might be a bit more difficult to pull off

If you have any artistic ability, or know anyone who does, this. I'm having a friend do something like it to my old k2's and I'm hanging them on a wall. (Not my picture, found it on google)

AKs would probably make a pretty nice sit ski. Maybe try to get it back into action for someone that only needs one ski to ride. If you use the google I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find people that try to hook up single skis for sit skis and other alternative set ups.

I like it. I might throw up a thread in gear talk as well and see if anyone around here knows the line.
