Losing Progress in Skiing?

I have noticed through my skiing that i will learn something and begin to get good at it and then one day I will just suck at that trick like when I started this will happen and then I would basically have to relearn and this happened like once every 2 weeks throughout the season? How can I overcome this?

I think part of it is muscle memory, and repetition just makes it instinctual... But, also it's totally in your head... I think the worst thing is getting down on yourself for not getting it right away the next day/time you try .. When you're learning something it really takes a while before it becomes something you just do ..

So, patience and practice ?

Good this time you didn't claim what trick you were having trouble with haha

On a serious note, it happens to everyone that some days you straight suck a skiing and can't land your tricks you usually have, it happens to anyone. I guess practice and also trying to be in shape when you go ski (eat/sleep well) can overcome this but it will always happen once in a while.

Agree! I think it's just normal, it also happens to me or even to everyone I guess! But try to observe yourself if it also happens in other circumstances or just only in skiing. Maybe you are just preoccupied by other things, or you want to learn fast that results in forgetting what has been learned from yesterday. Maybe much better if you practice then video what you're doing, so you would see the flaws and correct it the next day. It also helps on not forgetting it.

Being in shape is for pussies. Op, you will ski better if you slept like 4 hours the night before after heavy drinking, have a bad hangover, haven't eaten, and are stoned off your ass. Bonus points if you are still drunk. Also a 6 pack is essential to keep at the top of the park. That will make you ski better

Second this I have found out some of my best days skiing park are after a night of heavy drinking. I think its just because I hype myself up so much about going skiing the night before when I'm hammered haha

But also whoever said the thing about muscle memory is on point and also just being focused and having motivation. You cant half ass it because you dont wanna get hurt or something a few slams will just make you more hungry to land it.
