Made the last one figured I'd keep it going. I know it's mid summer but I'm already so stoked for this upcoming season. Here are some edits from last year:

loons going to be dope this year. my schedule at PSU is scheduled so i can ski 4 days a week with 3 of them being full days so im pumped about that

cant wait to see what the park crew does.. once its full open theres usually some really cool and different features

just saw that loon upgraded snowmaking pumps and pipes plus got a bunch of those bronze tipped tower guns that worked really well last year.

added 40% to their snowmaking!

hopefully if they get other trails open early cuz of this. we will have lmp by early dec! if it gets cold early!

I'm a psu campus rep for the New England Pass if anyone is interested in purchasing a pass pm me and i will supply you with a link to purchase the pass (whether or not you go to psi)

Currently deciding between Loon and Waterville. Going to Plymouth and fucking loving it.

If anyone wants to give me some tips/words of experience from either mountain that would be awesome!

HMU if you go to Plymouth and wanna chill, I live in smith and its pretty dope.

Both are sick. Loon has a bigger park but waterville is super easy to lap and their jumps are money. I like Loon more though, we got two pretty sick parks and some awesome "secret" glade skiing on the rare eastcoast pow day. Thats where I'll be skiing this year.

yea smith sucks lol but i pretty much live in the student apps. with my buddies im there all the time. its 116 we bump pre games every single night on the weekend.

Going to be up at least a few days when I'm not at SR and only making a day trip.

Loon always kills it by mid season if it's not too icy. Sick edits by the way.

Too me, loon is underrated. They have one of the best parks in the northeast every season, a solid event series, and just seem to kill it over all. Haven't made it there in a few years but I check out what's going on pretty regularly.

Maybe the place has just been killing it for so long that people forgot how sick it actually is. Lot's of creative features as well. Would love to make it up there for a day this season and maybe stop through and hit some other nh mountains that I haven't ridden in a bit.

heard rumors that the parks are expanding by 50% this year and then double in size after this year.

can anyone confirm? i really hope this happens but I dont know what they would do.

^ I heard last year they had a ski patrol duder come around and make sure those hiking had passes, but never personally had any issues.

also I have a feeling features wont be in until at least next weekend. theres no point in putting in features if they are gonna be closed mon-thurs.

The snow report they just posted said there will not be any features this weekend. But it said the plan is to add some stuff for next weekend. Hoping they follow through.

I'm going this weekend. Either sat or sun. I'll be wearing a LDC oak jacket so look for me. Who else is going

Ill be heading up to loon tomorrow (Tuesday 11/18) to take advantage of their 29 dollar lift tickets, plus it conveniently falls on my day off. Another easy mountain to check of my Grand Tour of New England that I have been too plenty of times. Ill be in a Blue OG logo jacket, or a blue tripple stack hoodie depending on the temps.

Quick report from Loon today.

Conditions were super variable. Some trails were great, others essentially sheets of ice, and near the end we had some decent snow going as they snowguns ran the whole day. Dispite what they have listed, they only have two features up, a down rail and a rail/ledge thing. The other two features were closed off because they were icy and hadent been groomed (They were fine). When I tried to open them some snowmaking guys yelled at me. I was not particularly happy considering I walked across the whole god damn parking lot to get there.

I didn't bother making the trek over to Govies yesterday- so Im not sure if the hike only setup there has changed.. (it was a flat box and flatbar rail)

But the setup on lower picked rock has 3 features. First hit is an option for the same down rail thats been there all along or a blue barrel jib- and then the second hit changed from that hubba with the side railings to a small jump. and I mean really small.. haha

loon was bomb today. snowmaking and the natural shit helped. the setup on lower picked is fun. first "real" jump of the year and the down rail is fun. ive been hiking the flat bar at govi the past 2 days a decent amount. trying to get back some pretzels and unnatty shit

was up there today. the ceast and decist setup was still up which is sick and they look like they are leaving that in for a little.

the park on lower picked is pretty fun with the downrail and jump. the barrel thing is just for snowboarders practically.

and it looks like when the cold comes back there will be a lot for snow made in LMP so i cant wait for that real park setup shit.

NEW SETUP down snowmaking tube

down double rail

down c rail

cease and decest setup is gone and lower picked rock is the same.

yo.

you guys are not cool

please stop being so fucking obnoxious all the time

grow up

thanks

your legit neighbor

on a side note, loon is tight now! went today all day. good stuff. park is super shrimpy but the mtn in general is unreal. snow is funnnnnn

I agree. If you saw a kid in red ldc snow pants and a grey jiberish vault hoodie that was me. May have broken my wrist but Ill still be out there tomorrow.

zero percent chance you are my neighbor

thanks

but yes loon is mad fun. the snow is so nice plus this storm is gonna be sick.

Dope, I'm actually in BC right now but I'll be up in NH early this week. Is there any base at all in the glades yet ?

we got like 4-5 inches in the trees plus maybe a little but from snowmaking blowing off trail in the right spots.

other than that you'll just have what gets dropped in this storm.
