Looking to buy a pair of skis

I am looking to buy a pair of skis for a season in France and was wondering what would be best. I would like a ski that will perform well on pistes but then still float and perform off piste and in the trees. so a 50% piste 50% of piste ski would be good.

I have looked at the atomic theorys, the salomon q-98, faction somas and the moment tahoes, though cant decide between them. Although I know there are many other possible alternatives so suggestions would be good.

I like the idea of a ski that floats well in powder but dont want a ski that cant hold an edge.

Suggestions please!

k2 kung fujas, now the shreditor 102, is a great ski. It has been my one quiver ski for the past two years. Can take it anywhere. Just my quick suggestion, dont really have that much experience with any of the skis you are looking at.

although one of my friends rides a salomon ski (dont know which one) and he charges hard everywhere and loves it.

I would look at the Batalla Twins or the Line Sir Francis Bacon's

Both semi wide skis around 108, but not too wide for carving

check out the line blends and chronics, as well as volkl bridge, mantra, or kendo.personally id go for the line blends, but i like the play and butteryness of them over volkl

Nordica soul rider , icelantic nomad rkr , al dentes ... something with a good little rocker tip & tail . between 95-100 underfoot i suggest. if it's not your style get the chronics ( more of a park oriented ski ) but pretty fun and snappy however

Im over in courchevel, but once im there im going to try get into meribel as my mate works there all ready and meribel is a better resort.
