Well, let me just tell you what she should get. So my wife is 5'10" 137lbs. She's been skiing like 16 yrs. Doesn't do much park anymore shy of the occasional lap to hit a few boxes/smaller jumps. She's def more of an all mountain/big mountain tree type now. She wrecked her skis and had to get new ones. After hearing my friends and I singing the angelic praises of the current SFBs, she got herself a pair of 172s. After about half a day, she skied up to us with an ear to ear grin and said "your right. Best ski ever made.". Now I've known my wife a long time. Back about 8-9 yrs ago she was big into park. Easily the best chick park skier at out local mountain at least at the time. Some cockbag snowboarder landed on her and busted her ankle and leg up pretty bad. Stick with me. I'm telling you this for a reason. After she recovered, she shyed away from park and became quite the average skier for alot of years. Fast forward to current. The last few years I've seen her skiing more aggressively and have even caught her in the park teaching younger chicks how to grind. Still she wasn't nearly at her previous level and even though she rode big sidecountry lines, she still wasn't at her full potential. That is of course till she got those bacons. If someone told me that a ski would turn my wife back into a rager I wouldn't have believed it but that's exactly what happened. There were a few lines we hit where she smoked us boys to the bottom. Me and my one bud in particular were like wtf? I watched her hit her first "taller than her" rock drop on em and saw her ski lines with confidence that an average chick would be cautious on. On the groomers I've never ever seen her ski that fast since I've known her. She said you barely notice the width underfoot goin edge to edge on groomers and floats perfect in the fresh. She even busted a 180 and skied switch which has been a rare sight for her recently. The moral of the story is that they are friggin magical and made my wife love skiing again. Tell your friend to demo them for sure and look for that ear to ear grin. It'll happen, I promise.
