Then try Electric Wizard. I think they fall under the category of doom metal, which is basically heavy stoner rock. I just bought Dopethrone and I like it much.

doom tends to be softer than death... more mellow, in a sense... most of the time, thats the case, at least

try the album 'Symbolic' by Death. my favorite album of all time amonst death metal genre.

also, 'The End Complete' by Obituary is a sick album too.

however, Death's 'Symbolic' is by far the heaviest, sickest, fastest shredding death metal which I like.
