Looking for some feedback on my Cinema Reel.

Yo M&A!

I have always browsed through the forums of M&A looking for inspiration and have never posted up any of my own work. I recently put the finishing touches on my Cinematography reel and I am looking for some feedback and constructive criticism. If you have a minute check it out!

(I cant embed for the life of me. +K for an embed.)

Thank ya!

well.... your color correcting is pretty great. Something irks me about the slowmo parts though. It looks like it's skipping frames, but that might just be my computer I'm not sure

Overall I really enjoyed it man, the shots at 0:19 and 0:27 were the two that really stood out to me! It flowed really well and the song worked great with the shots you had.

There were definitely a few shots I felt you could have gone without. eg 0:47 and 0:52 and a couple more.

Alot of the slowmo was super jumpy, I'd either cut those or put them back to normal speed.

I think with a bit more work you could cut this down to 90/100 seconds of really solid stuff.

I thought that this was pretty sweet. Especially liked 0:40 and 1:52. I can't see what everyone is saying about the choppy slowmo, for me it was pretty smooth. The only think with the slow mo that stood out was the switch from regular speed to slow speed was a bit abrupt. Otherwise this was solid!

Slowmo was definitely a weird frame rate, might wanna re-export or something.

Skiing shots were okay, I didnt like how you opened with the ski shot, it was pretty normal and the trick wasnt great, like most of the skiing, which in my eyes makes it weaker but to a general audience its whatever.

This is rad! I agree that the slow mo was kinda choppy but it fits with the video so if you can fix it keep it. I agree with eheath that you shouldn't start with a ski shot, however thats only a minor thing.

What camera do you use?

Loved the colors and the variation of shots. Looked like you got to travel to some really awesome places! The vibe gives me a happy feeling.

Like most people said, the main problem I saw was the choppy slowmo which could have resulted from you shooting at 24p or something along those lines and then trying to slow the clip down in post.

I liked it especially the girls
