Looking for Partners for Colorado 14ers

Hey friends, I'm looking to start knocking some more 14ers off my hit list this winter here in Colorado and I need some experienced mountaineers with avalanche safety knowledge and all the necessary gear to be a part of the fun. I figured this would be a good place to search for backcountry partners.

Basically what I want to do is what Chris Davenport did and summit+ski as many 14ers as I can this winter. Message me for more details if you're interested.

Good luck dude, that's quite a goal. I'm just curious have you done any of the 14ers? There are quite a few easy ones but to bag all of them is quite a feat. The harder ones you will be doing a few class 5 moves in ski boots which always puckers the bung hole.

I managed to get about 17 of them in a month (this summer) and ones like El Diente, Wilson Peak, Kit Carson I cannot imagine skiing without a rappel and additional gear.

Also curious how you plan to navigate Capitol's knife ridge? I am interested in doing these myself just some of them seem impossible.

I've done a few. I'm not looking to do summit descents of the gnarlier ones, just looking to hike up as far as possible without getting in over my head and then skiing down. I'm no badass mountaineer like Davenport but my skis have spent enough time in-bounds at resorts and I want to get out and try something new. This season I'll be focusing mainly on the friendlier 14ers like Evans, Bierstadt, Princeton, Pikes, Quandary, etc.

I'll save the 14ers that require ropes and ice axes for another year when I have more experience.

I'm with you man, I have aspirations to do them all but will start with the easy ones. My grandfather, George Bell, actually had the first ascent up Sunlight Spire.

Sweet. Once there's enough snow I'll come back to this thread and try to round everyone up for some BC shredding

I live up in Breckenridge and I would be happy to ski some with you. I have skied Grays, Torreys, Elbert, Quandary, and looking to ski many more. Things will be game once we hit April for sure, pray for good snowpack in November!

I probably made this thread a bit too early but it's good to know there's people interested in tackling some more peaks! I'll hit you up as soon as I start skiing backcountry.

Bump: Wanted to know how this was going for you OP?

Ive bagged 17 & skied 5 14ers since I moved to CO 3 years ago. Even ran into the Dav in Ouray last year.
