Looking for New Skis

Hello my name is Dominic,

I wanted to get the opinion of the Newschoolers community on what skis you think might be best for me. I am 21 years old, 5'9", 145lbs, I have been skiing for 10 years and I ski at a 3+ level. I ski at Mt. Hood Meadows and have only skied on stiff full wood core park skis that were never over 90 under foot. After finally demoing a pair of Salomon Rocker2 108s earlier this season I was amazed by the way I could charge through off-piste conditions on a tracked powder day, since then I've been looking for a fatter ski that will work in almost all conditions. I'm assuming this will be a exspensive set up most likely considering I want something that has touring capability, to powder, to cliffs, to park(least important of all I have the Salomon NFX for park days). I know I will keep these skis for years to come, I might get a deal on my skis or bindings as a ski instructor so my budget isn't too important. I also was wondering if anyone has a reccomendation for nice AT bindings! The 108 I rode was really fun but I am unsure if I would want a ski that wide for all types of conditions, I am pretty sure I want my underfoot closer to 100 but no lower than 98. I liked the rocker style and loved the way it dampened all off-piste crud. I am open for any reccomendations on any skis or bindings!

Thanks for your time,

Dom

Check out the Moment Deathwish. It's 112 underfoot, so a bit wider than what you're looking for, but I promise it will absolutely crush everything you want to ski (Triple Camber blows every other camber type out of the water). If you're looking for more of a touring specific ski that can still handle the resorts, check out the Underworld. 106 underfoot, lighter wood & composites, and Triple Camber.

I was coming here to say the exact same thing, these are going to be the next skis I purchase and everyone I've talked to have loved them! Top notch all mountain ski.

Obligatory mention of Kartel 106s... For AT bindings though would you want frame or pin-tech? I'm going to assume frame since you didn't specify; I've heard good things about the Tyrolia Adrenalin series and I know Kitten Factory is releasing some less shitty Alpine Trekkers next year (they're a pin-tech toe however).
