Looking for new skis

so right now I have chronic 177's(the first ones) and I love them with all of my heart, but I'm looking for something that will handle better in pow. my problem is that I also love to ski moguls. are the chronic blends too wide to take moguls?

I ski 100% ec trees/pow when possible, but when there's none of that around I ski 50& moguls, 50% all mountain. I don't ski park, so that's not a factor.

any suggestions other than the blends would be greatly appreciated. Also, i'm not looking for brand new skis, i'm too poor.

I'm 6'1" and 190 pounds

186 big troubles? I would say you are looking for something 90-93mm, it will be hard to find a good bump ski that is also good in powder.

you really need a two ski quiver because you really can't have a pow ski and a bump ski all rolled into one that is gunna do great at both

its just impossible

fuck, that's what I was afriad of. I guess my chronics aren't in bad shape really, so I can just keep them for mogul days. any suggestions for the powder skis?

I would, but I'm too poor. I'm going to call my parents right now to see if they'll hook up an early christmas present

You live on the east coast and don't ski park?!?! You must get bored sooo fast. As for skis, look for some light ones, if you have a light wide skis you'll be able to zipper them moguls no problem.

not blends, just chronics.

def. keep them for park and moguls and invest in a pow ski.

at 6'1" and 190 you need 185 and up.

186 prophet 100s would be sick i think

100's are a little wider than what I'm looking for, I'm really looking into scratch BC's and Big troubles

yea i think some profits or some new chronics would work well for ya and then some mogul skis as well... i really dont know much about them

I don't like waiting in line to ski with a bunch of 14 year olds who keep calling me gay for not having brand new gear.

at least that's how it is at my mountain. And I can always find powder to ski at Jay peak.
