Anyone have any experience with this? I'm having a hard time getting a first job and may reply to someone on craigslist to get some easy money.

Search different areas and diferent titles, for example general labor, food and resteraunt, part time etc, or anything your capable of doing. Then just send whoever a somewhat breiif email about yourself and why you want the job then finish it off by saying sometihing like " please call / emailme

Sorry on mobile... " please call me for information regarding both parties" ,something like that usually works. You can always post an add saying what you can do for a cheaper price than a proffesional ie. painting cutt grass or whatever. Hope that helps

i found my job on craigslist, just check it every day till something pops up that you might be interested in

every once in a while ul find something good. but youre better off just walking into some places around where you live and asking in person if they are looking to hire.

and if you see one dont procrastinate, jump on it ASAP because theres a ton of people looking on CL for work.... dont email if you dont have to, if theres an address and its not sketchy go in person. if theres a number, call it. it will make a much better impression.

Business like it much more when you talk to them in person and be persistent. Always follow up even if they don't have position immediately. Become a familiar face.

Ive had two jobs off of Kijiji (Canadia craigslist) and they have been the best jobs ever. Delivery boy and working at a golf course. The establishments are really relaxed and easy going, unlike a lot o stuck up places that want proper resumes etc. Of course I responded properly and went in and applied, but it makes it a lot easier to see if a business is actually even interested in hiring.

ha i was honestly doing this about 10 minutes ago. sometimes you get lucky. there are little odd jobs that pop up here and there. me and a couple friends did a job for some lady one time and she was loaded. she paid us 200 a piece for the day and we only spent like 5 hours in her hard moving things around and pressure washing her giant ass fence and deck. she even brought us lemonade and fruit trays periodically.

another time my friend sniped an add where this asian family straight from honk kong wanted him to drive these kids around and keep them entertained, set up fun little days for them while their parents were on business. he got like $1,200 for 5 or 6 days of that. he said it sucked, cause he put in a lot of time booking appointments and scheduling, but after that week having 1,200 for just driving around some asian children and entertaining them i'd say it's well worth it.

i dont know how it'll work in terms of finding stable, long term jobs, but it's definitely great for odds and ends. there's always people looking for guys to do something for them.

I got a job working security at a downtown bar, delivering for Edible Arrangements, and now bartending full-time on a boat...all thanks to craigslist!

Ya I tried that a few times, never worked for me personally. I'll repeat the advice someone said up there because it's important, if you can go apply in person instead of sending an email, do it, your chances of getting the job will increase dramatically.

i found my job on craislist, but its a whole lot easier to get hired if you actually go to the place thats hiring and introduce yourself. no one wants to hire someone theyve never seen or spoken to.

when i was looking for a job i went on craigslist everyday and looked....decent resource becuase people hae to pay to post up jobs. Just get into your area and look. Email them, and always follow up in person. For every 10 sent out prob got like 2 answers back then i went in and followed up
