Hi there! Looking for AM skis to fill the gap between my park and powder skis.

Park skis im planning to replace btw. But will use shiro for powder days.

What I want - skis for every day, playful and fun!

But also I want to try ski touring so expecting to add hybrid/platform bindings to the setup.

Google says that 108 wide underfoot is something that should stick with but im open for any advice.

Expecting to use skis for 60% - resort and backcountry + 20% going on half/one day ski tour trips, potentially I want to go to the Mt Rainer with my friends but they use very light ski touring setup and im not sure if will able to go as fast as they do. Is this still possible with my expectation?

Also im planning to find new boots with help of bootfitter but would good to have some advice on boot too. I have wide feed so 102-104mm sole should work for me

Stats
:

6'2" (188cm)

195lb/88kg (15% of fat haha)

30+ yo

Location: Seattle, WA (Most of the time I go Alpental or Stevans sometimes Crystal )

What I have:

2013 Volkl Shiro 193

Pros:

- fast

- good on powder

- can cut crash small bombs without issue

Cons:

- heavy

- hard to find good powder without going uphill

- sometimes I want to just have fun and do not charge all the time

2014 rossignol storm 180

Pros:

- I have second pair of skis

Cons:

- I think they are too short

- not playful\stiff flex

Some models that I think of:

Moment Wildcar

black crows atris

ON3P Woodsman

4frnt raven

4frnt renegades

2021 Armada JJ (I know its 116 but its only $400 used with bindings)

Thanks!

Line vision 108 may work in the longest length. I rock the 183 but I’m 5’10 150 and love them as a playful touring ski. Skis you listed look good although I personally havnt skiied them.

Actually scratch that. Disliking myself. May be a bit light for using inbounds in heavier snow

Enforcer 110 or 104 in 191!

They rock, I bought myself a set of 110s last year and rode the shit out if them. Worked my way onto Nordica's Am program this year and got to try the 104s, more stiff and chargy with lots of life!

Get the daymaker touring adapters if youre concerned about risking performance for touring. You can put them on pretty much any binding to convert your AM skis to touring skis.
