Looking for a University of Utah roommate 2016-2017? (Sorry about the thread redundancy)

Hey guys, I've been lurking on newschoolers for a while, but never made an account, so this is my first post. I'm going to the U next fall as a freshman and really wanted a roommate that loves to ski. I'm going in for physics and plan on studying a lot, but I'm down for parties too. During the season though, if I'm not in school or studying or something, I'll probably be in Little Cottonwood. It's fine if you don't want to ski with me, it would just be nice to live with someone else that gets it and won't mind if I tune my skis in the dorm, and yours too if you want, haha. I was thinking Gateway Heights, since I don't have a car, and it's so close to all the main shit and buses. I figured Gateway's the perfect base for getting around the city/ maximizing sleep time and minimize gear lugging to catch an early bus to Snowbird on a powder day. It's a little early right now, but I thought I'd make the thread and let it mature for a while. According to my pamphlet thing, housing application starts Feb 10. Anyway that's about it.. Looking forward to getting my ass out west finally. Feel free to pm. Thanks and take care

I'm waiting to hear if I got in or not. What were your scores/grades like if you dont mind me asking? I'm pretty solid just wondering. U of U is probably tied for my top choice alongside CU Boulder

My gpa was around 3.7 and my math/reading sat was 1390. If you think you're pretty solid though I wouldn't worry the acceptance rate is like 80% after all

by the way I said gateway before, but I'm starting to like chapel glen more and more

And chorizo fuck 69's, 96's are the shit

bro chapel glen all the way. just way more social+you have girls on your floor (possibly in the room next door or across the hall). whatever you do, make sure you leave your door open during the first few days after move or go around and try and meet people

Im a Junior in Highschool but IM touring U of U this weekend, going to PC, Brighton, and Snowbird each for a day if you are down there if you wanna ski. Have you toured the campus yet?

altie yeah for sure, I only considered gateway because when I saw it was closest to the "bus" I thought that meant the TRAX stop that connects to the LLC bus station. I did some more research and found out that the "bus" was actually just the university shuttle. From google mapping it, chapel and gateway are both about the same distance to the trax stop. That being said, the vibes seem way better at chapel glen so that's where I'm leaning now.

And swandog that would be cool as fuck especially with how much snow the west got so far this season, but I'm stuck on the east coast until probably the mandatory orientation weekend this summer. I went to salt lake city last year with family, but I had a ski nazi mindset and didn't want to burn any time on the mountain to check out the campus or city.. So have fun this weekend dude

bruh. one of the girls across from me has a boyfriend and the other is beat so no chance of fuckin' either of 'em

Definitely go chapel glenn! Lots of good memories in that dorm. And if you get a bad feeling about your roommate, do something about it. I had the shittiest frat-star roommate my freshman year that made the last bit of my year hell around him, if I had switched early it could have been avoided.

But chapel always has a lot of homies!
