Looking for a skateboard...

I'm pretty new at skateboarding so I'm looking for a pretty cheap option for a good entry level board. I've had an old one for pretty long and I can ollie, shovit, and kickflip (maybe 3/10 times). I've been a bit overwhelmed with board choices online- what is the lowest price I can find for a decent board for? should I buy complete or get separate trucks/wheels? thanks a bunch.

Go support your local skateshop you doucher, unless there isn't one BUT SERIOUSLY IF THERE IS YOU BETTER BUY YOUR SHIT THERE.

Decks are decks don't waste your money on gimmicks like p2 and helipop.

Don't buy new trucks/wheels unless your current setup is some shitty walmart stuff. The only real difference in board brands is shape so experiment and see what kind of concave and tail/nose shape you like. Don't get Mob grip either if you like having shoes.

Buy a blank deck on line somewhere. I always bought mine at getboards.com. Same deck as any name brand without a huge sticker price for a picture that you're going to fuck up anyway.

Start with a medium concave and a width somewhere around like 7.5 and go up or down depending on what you like.

i'll sell you my board, i tried to get into it, then i decided i wasn't lol. but its a flip deck, it has like flip wheels, which work well enough, and black core trucks. everythings a bit scratched up but it hardly saw any abuse (i was like 12) the tails aren't razored at all, wheels are fine, etc. i can give you pics if you want.

This.Choosing a board in an actual shop is better than ordering tho, the board could be tweaked or smth. I wouldn't buy a complete. Choose low trucks unless u plan on riding only vert. Take cheap parts (not some walmart shit tho) and find out what u like after riding for a while, get to know some brands too. And visit skatercafe.com

You should get a board depending on your shoe sizes, if your like a 10 or above, get a size 8 board, maybe a 7.75 at the most.

Yeah I personally would never buy a board online, I need to hold it and stand on it a little before I get one.

Boards I highly recommend are Sk8mafia, Expedition One, and Slave, never had a bad experience with any of these. I prefer flatter boards, they're more comfortable to ride in my opinion.

I know everyone's gay for Thunder and Independent Trucks but I can't tell the difference and anyone who says they can is lieing haha. Just don't get Tensors because they deform really fast if you grind at all.

And I know I said boards are all the same pretty much but I shy away DLX products because the noses are really pointy and I hate that.

I bought a board just recently off skatewarehouse, It cost me $170 for a complete, new helmet, and shipping. The closest skate shop to me is an hour away, and I saved way more money buying it off skatewarehouse because completes there are like $210. (I live in Canada so your shipping will probably be even less if you're in US)

Yeah they really are, there's slight differences like Baker being a little bit heavier than average and Enjoi having a ton of concave or Slave boards having big noses but as long you're buying quality wood and not walmart/other mall company boards you should be good. People may claim that other boards have better pop or whatever but it's really up to the skater not the board. And p2,helipop,etc are ripoffs.
