Looking for a pow ski but what size?

Hi guys! Swedish guy living in Switzerland skiing the Swiss Alps. I currently ride Line Prophet 98s however I want something wider in my search for good pow. I am an advanced skiier who skis fast and aggressive and I am looking for something in the 115-122 underfoot region. I am 5ft11/12 and I weigh 154 pounds so I'm not that buff.

I am looking for a powder ski that can ski like a carving/sharp turn ski on the groomers and whatever else.

I have searched the net for next years skis (I am sadly missing the Armada, K2 and Atomic Brochures for next years lines so if anyone can help me out that would be great!) and I have found some that have caught my eye so if anyone can give short elaborations on the skis that would be great and which size would suit me! I guess I'm looking for a slightly stiff ski? Right?

I don't think I need to go in the 190+ region as I dont think I can guarantee I will be charging down backcountry a lot, so something in the 184s-189s will be better as I can control them in terms of turns/carving, etc.

4FRNT YLE H: 187

Moment Bibby Pro: 186 & (maybe) Exit World 190s

Line Magnus Opus 188 or Pollard's Opus 185

ON3P Billy Goat 186 (116 underfoot)

Liberty (not so sure about these either Double Helix or Origin however they are both 190)

and finally skis which I don't have heights to or proper underfoots to ( apart from the Petittor:120) are:

K2 Pettitor , Armada JJs and the Atomic Bent Chetler.

I have a friend who is sponsored by Faction skis and I can demo them whenever I want so I don't particularly want to go for them.

Also so a pair of Majesty Lumberjacks (120) on the internet today which looked interesting.

Thanks for your help!

I have the yles and love them. They carve really well even better than my park skis which are anthems so not that surprising. I use them as my mains ski for anything but park. I would recommend them.

Yes the YLEs look very promising. They seem to be at the perfect height I'm looking for (187) and they're a playful ski that can carve well on the groomers. At a nice 118/119 underfoot as well. I'm just worried that they're more aimed towards those who look for natural kickers to pull some 3s, etc. on and not optimally suited for those who just wish to charge down, etc. But these ones definitely caught my eye the most, and the Bibby Pros

I'd get super wide ski blades that are mounted really close to the back so that you could get the tips above all the pow. lol jk. I would probably get icelantics they are kinda expensive but they are super cool

This could be a winner. The Bent Chetler has always been the standout powder ski for Atomic. At a 186 height I think these might be perfect for me. 117 underfoot seems to be a nice fit too. Are next years models changing in any way or shape? The rocker profile isn't symmetrical but that's good as I can't throw down big tricks and what not. I like cliff dropping though. Sidewall is a plus too. Great thanks for the help . Those Bibby Pros sure do look sick though!

I really wouldn't go for the YLE. Its a great ski no doubt, but it is fully symmetrical, which means it is meant for riding switch as much as regular, which, from ur bio, does not sound like a common practice for you. But if it is, 4FRNT makes a quality ski, no doubt.

Also, what do you desire more: a sharp carving ski for groomers, or a stable charging ski? Unfortunately, you have to make a choice between a short radius ski which will be more nimble and and a long radius ski which will be stable at high speeds. Or you can split the difference. Skis such as the Armada JJ have a short radius, and skis such as the 4FRNT renegade have a much longer one. It all depends on your riding style.

Yes you're right, I don't frequent riding switch much, i can do it however so you're right, its not the smartest idea to go for a symmetrical ski at the cost of performance. I ski quite aggressively, currently charging on my prophet 98s so I'm in the search for, at the moment, a powder ski that can deliver the same performance . However I like the sharp, quick turns too, I understand I can't have both. Something stable I suppose? I heard that armadas don't have sidewalls and that is desirable for a ski to have them. As the guy above suggested, the Automatics might be a good fit . However I'm not looking for a touring ski. Are the Billy Goats maybe a good choice? I've only heard good things about ON3P on NW, however I live In switzerland so I haven't witnessed them here.

Honestly, I think the Bent Chetlers would be perfect for you. Not fully symmetrical, twin rocker, camber, and a medium radius. Many NSer's will tell you that they can charge very well and are definitely stable, but can still carve a turn. Plus next year's improvements look great all around.

Yea the improvements look great. As well they come in 185s which is a good height for me. I'm 5ft11/12 however I'm only 154 pounds, so I'm not too sure I could ski as well as I would like to on 190s, adding to that where I ski I can't guarantee being able to ski backcountry powder all day so it would be nice to have it a little bitch shorter than 190s as I can maneuver them well on the groomers to my liking. I heard they carve well too, but I've also heard some one else say their YLEs carve better than their father's all mountain skis so you never know. But this is definitely at the top of my list. Thanks for the help.
