Looking for a mp3 converter...

i was wondering what was the best one out there that was free or easy to crack...i've tried a few and some of them add a crackling sound to the background and reduce the quality, and others i've tried slowed the song down....so if anyone knows of a good one, let me know

Use CDex. You can get it free at download.com I'm sure, or just search Google. It's a very basic but very effective CD ripping program that converts between mp3, wav and other formats too I think. It's freeware and it's all I've ever used for CD ripping, it's excellent.

 
dowload the LAME plug in for winamp and you can convert almost anything to mp3 and you can choose your bit rate and whatever

 
no winamp + plugins sucks for converting shit. www.dbpoweramp.com is def the way to go!

i used to use cdex when i still had a pc, i used itunes now but i remember it being pretty good
