Looking for a good ski backpack

A lot of people like the Dakine packs, poacher and heli in particular iirc. There are many from which to choose...are there any features you'd like to have?

i love my dakine poacher 32L. so much room for stuff but still not too big. i had trouble finding a good pack as i’ve had problems with with my back but the poacher is a really good fit for me.

I have the old dakine poacher chris bentchetler (with RAS System). It’s great not big but I can still fit everything for ski touring. It’s also a bit heavy but really really durable. If you are looking for more Alpinist style backpacks Deuter is my recommendation.never heard of anyone that ever had a problem with a Deuter product

I wante something to just put few things in (bottle of water, couple bars, headphones etc) something that I don’t really need to take off on the chairlift

Just get the Heli-Pro 20 then, it's pretty low profile especially with the compression straps

Dakine Heli-Pro is one of the best out there for a resort bag! whatever you settle on, having the ability to zip open the entire back of it and lay flat is so clutch for skiing. Way easier to organize and access.

I like the Dakine Poacher 14 for resort/sidecountry. Also use a Mystery Ranch Saddle Peak for full tours where more gear is needed. Also great for resort if you're carrying speakers and camera gear but it's a little big for the chair.

I had a kidcomfort (I think?) Backpack baby carrier thing that was awesome, I bought it used, used if for five years and gave itt some friends with plenty of life left.

Then I bought a kids backpack for my son after my good experience with the carrier and the backpack was complete shit. It wore through in like a week so I took it back. The guys at the shop was like "if kids throw it around or slide it on pavement no pack is going to last" but refunded it as he should have. I bought a Marmot Jet 20 for my son and he abused the hell out of it for three plus years with no holes.
