Looking For a Complete Low-Down on CoC, Windells, and Momentum

Here's what i managed to gather so far from other threads and websites:

CoC: Best park, long lines? sweet after riding stuff and places to chill. Paintball? hell yea....

Momentum: Decent park, not long lines? not sure about after riding

Windells: Great park, not sure bout lines or after riding.

Here's what i would like to know:

CoC: the website says it is completely private yet i read posts where ppl say campers from momentum clog up the lines? how does that work? or am i just confused. How long are the supposedly long lines? GIRLS! how are the ladies? quantity and quality please. Anything else you would like to add, too. Oh, and quality of coaches

Momentum: Park compared to CoC. are the lines long? How is the after riding? what is there to do? same thing with the ladies. quality of coaches

Windells: Park compared to others. lines? after riding? coaches..and ladies.

The only camp's website that had decent pictures that gave a good representation of the park was CoC. I can't find any pics on momentum's site or on windells site. so a detailed descrip of their park would be good.

Also, I'm under the impression that momentum and windells is primarily ski? that's kinda cool although i totally don't mind boarders.

CoC pretty much has me sold thus far due to my lack of information.

I'm inclined to learn more about momentum and windells due to their considerable prices. much cheaper than CoC.

Thanks!

its cause COC shares a t bar with the public park while momentum has its own. the lines really werent that bad when i went though.

SOrry if im not really asnwering direct questions but Windells is probably the best. COC would be bettter if it had a foam pit and more givaways. Momentum just looks like nothing compared to them IMO. Either way they are all soooo fun

i haven't been to coc or momentum, but i can tell you everything about windells is awesome. everything you could ask for in a park (including the bag jump), absolutely no line for the t bar, the coaches are unbelievable helpful, the campus is just an enormous skatepark with a ballar trampoline and bmx dirt jumps, and theres enough ladies where your not always chillin with dudes.
even tho i've already been twice, if i were going to a summer camp this summer i would go back. cheap (comparatively), every coach on the mountain will cheer if you land something new, and its impossible to get bored. if you aren't having fun at windells then your either too exhausted from so much fun or you got hurt.

oh i see. but the park itself is private?

they can't install their own freakin t bar? they charge enough to do so..lol

also, please describe windells park. i still don't know how to compare its park to CoC's. thanks

this will be my 4th year at momentum and i obviously love it. the coaches have that "pro" status, they have an amazing park, but maybe not as big as COCs. The best part is that we get way more laps then at COC though. Whenever I need to go get lunch, I need to take the COC t bar and it takes atleast 20 minutes. Also, Momentum has everything included, meals and everything. COC does not have meals included and that will add up. Dont know much about Windells but it looks really fun. I feel like it has more of a camp atmosphere. Momentum is also right in the Whistler village. COC is about a 10 minute bus ride to the village but they have a ton of shuttles.

god damnit I'm sick and tired of these threads. You obviously barely searched because there is a wealth of knowledge about all different camps on newschoolers, camp websites, google, videos, etc.

and yes the internet is furrealz serious

park is sick compared to coc imo because the line is like 3-4 mins when its long and coc is like 15min average which gets intensely frustrating .

after riding is chillz theres always couple activities + if you dont wanna do them theres the hotel or whistler village

ladies? hell yeah in whiss , but in camps its more 13year old lolz

quality of coaches ? oh yeah , all really chill , riddle , bibby , chug , trennon , rory , vanular , turpin , olenick

i did some more independent research and thoroughly went through each website. i pretty much ruled out Wendells. i do not like how it is so camp like and that they boast they have their "own" campus. i like how CoC and Momentum are based out of Whistler Village. the village seems like a sweet place to chill. also i don't like how rigid Wendells schedule is - scheduled activities and scheduled dinner. i like how in CoC you can pretty much roam and do whatever and whenever with whomever. CoC is pricy though, and i kinda like how Momentum is ski only. But then again, Momentum doesn't give as much freedom as CoC.

Argh! tough choice

i had a fuckin sick time at momentum. everyone is stoked, and after your day of skiing you literally do whatever the fuck you want. there are a couple of different activities organized after skiing each day, for example paintball, water ramps, soccer, you name it. however, if you dont wanna do any of the activities that are set up that day, you can just chill in the hotel or in the village with homies. and ya they have their own t-bar and there is literally no line, the only time you have to wait in line is when you go up to lunch or back to the base.

yea windells is super fun and you can still hang around but you have to stay on campus. i basically live in whistler so i find windellls more fun and diffrent but COC>Momentum even though i neer have been to momentum

well the thing is at momentum all they are strict about after riding is the room checks

(not too bad like 4 people stayed in our room one night) but they honestly dont give a shit what you do after sking, they have a ton of activitys everday (water ramp, soccer , skatboarding) but you dont have to do any of them , you can just go play some ps2 in the lounge or roam the village (literally right in the center) i talked to a bunch of other at COC and momentum and its pretty much COC has a better bigger park (not by much) and momentum has better lines, coaches, activitys, and after skiing time, and it has a sick hotel! PM me if you want pics of the park and shit, i have a few on my facebook.

and at momentum the longest line i had was MABY 5 min, but at the COC bar it was usually between 15-30 min depending on the time of day.

CoCs lift lines were big due to sharing with dave murray camp, public plus the lunchtime/end of the day rush. But i think alot of the campers hiked some of the features. It also had its own pipe which was pre dope.
Momentum only shared the t bar they use with the ski racers in the morning then after like 12 30 the public came (hardly any) but the park was no where near as big as CoC due to half of momentum being moguls.
so it was pretty much like their own t bar.
I was a lifty up on the glacier this summer. So thats where that infos from.

windells park is crazy fun, right at the top they have a pretty big jump, idk exactly how big it was in terms of feet but you could get a ten with a grab if you know what your doin, then to the left you get to the inrun or their big jump, which is pretty much the most slayed jump by pros ever. pretty much every day you someone doubles it. to the right theres all different kinds of jibs, doxes, downrails, dub kinks, a wallride, just everything. watch some of windells videos you'll see all the different rail setups they have. then halfway through the rails you can go left and hit these 2 little jumps for beginners, then right into their triple jump line, all perfect. the jump line goes from pretty small, to like a 35 ish table, idk maybe bigger, then the last jump is probably like 50 ish, I'm bad at guessing distances but i saw t-wall sw cork 10 tail it. its just a little smaller than the jump at the top of the lane. then below the jump line they have their pipe (if your into that) then the bag jump with 2 different sized takeoffs, the bigger one got tripled i guess but it must have been hucked as shit, and the smaller one is pretty good sized too

They didn the summer just gone... and i dont see where they could fit a pipe in their section with out losing a bunch of features.

honestly dude its more loose than it sounds. for every activity, even skiing, you can choose to sit it out and do whatever else u want. dinner lasts for a while so its not like their forcing you to eat at any time. and if your 18, well its not uncommon to smoke blunts and drink some brews in the adult cabin.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out how you started the thread title with "looking for a complete low-down on coc"

...sounds like a sketchy craigslist post if i've ever seen one

heres my review from when i went to COC a few summers ago.

Crazy nice park, never waited more than a minute or 2 to hit any of the feature.

T-bar line was kinda long cause we had to share with momentum and the public park, but i think the longest i ever waited was 5-10 minutes.

They give you free range to go n do whatever you want, no supervision what-so-ever except when i got bitched at by some girl working there to go to my room.

Whistler is the shit, theres so much to do, except the food is expensive, but avalanche pizza is crazy good.

Pretty damn expensive.

Didnt get as as much attention as i wanted from the coaches, but still learned a few things.

Customs was a bitch to get through, and its a long plane ride from detroit, and theres alotta asians in whsitler during the summer.

Bottomline: after reading everything i have about the other camps i would still head to whsitler even tho it cost me 2 years of saving all the money i could.

Stoked you've been checking out all the camps. The COC park is by far the biggest park anywhere in the summer. It is groomed daily by Steve Petrie and the Arena snowparks crew. The lift line that is clogged up by Momentum that you read about somewhere is just at the end of the day when everyone from all the camps are leaving the glacier. Most of the time the lift lines are mellow. We do cost a bit more, but if you want to get the most one on one coaching all day with top pros that really coach you as well as hang out with you all day, have the most options for things to do once the lift is closed and have the most amazing camp vibe with the Dorm and Compound, COC is where you want to be. Before you come to camp you might just think about the money, but after you've been to camp you will realize that every penny was worth it. Don't judge camps on cost alone. Read between the lines to see what you really get. It is the reason we have so much information on our site so that when you are looking at camps you can find out everything you could ever want to know, instead of reading about a camp and hoping for something that might or might not be included.

i went to momentum last year and it was sick. coc looked alright too. momentum has paintball on the day off and you can do pretty much whatever after riding. momentum we dont have to share a park with boarders(but thats not that bad anyway) and lift line is really short. the park is sick with the 80 ft step over and wall ride. coaches are sick and you have like 5 other kids in your group and all you have to do is ask and your coach will give you full aqttension for that trick. you get a diff coach everyday and each coach kinda has there specialty that they work on with you. oh and i remember on one of the days they offered biking at whistlers park but it cost 100$. there was no pipe there wen i went. the coc lift line was huge for the lunch and end day rush. thats mainly because it was all the momentum kids combined with the coc kids so idk how it normally is. momentum lift line is super short.

if you are 19 or older go to whistler because nightlife is fucking sweet, COC after skiing activities arent that fun. If you go to whistler probably momentum, I have been to both and liked momentum better. I didnt really feel at home at COC. All the snowboarders just didnt talk to you. Except for the girl ones, those i knew pretty well. But windells supposedly has after skiing activities up the wazoo. And dope tramps.

ya my friend is going to momentum this summer asnd im going with him next year for sure! ruled out windells caause they only ski every other day. whats all included in momentum tho that the website DOESNT say. like i remember on a thread about MHSSC that they had a 24/7 soda fountain thats free. does momentum have that? or is it like a vaca spot, (prices jacked the fuck up) (off topic but i got back from atlantis and it was fuckin 5 bucks for a can of soda!) anyways what are the off hiilll non included prices around town. and the girls. im 16 obv i dont care if there are 18-20 yearold girls there like you 18-20 yearold guys do. but on avg what is the age group of girls there?and the most impotant part, are the HOT and CHILL?? or are they the racer girls that only talk to other racers?? whats the vibe between the park rats and racer/ mougle skiiers their? cause if its liike you only hang out with your friends ya thats cool but after 9 days and not hooking up with a hot chick im gunna get pretty anooyed if it turns into a sasuage fest. is their a curfiew? (ya its spelled wrong ik) and is there a night life in the camp like a club or something? haha prob not but tht would be dope.

I went to Momentum last summer and funds permitting am planning on going again this summer. After skiing there is water ramping for free activities. Other than that anything in Whistler can be done. Biking on the mountain, shredding the skatepark, etc. The longest line-up I ran into at Momentum was tops 10 minutes, COC line is usually like 30+. That being said COC park did have a better rail setup, but Momentum did have the biggest and best jump on the glacier. And on the off day you can also paintball or go wakeboarding. Momentum also pays for all 3 meals in your day, COC only pays for 2. Momentum stays in a nice hotel, COC in a dorm. You be the judge of whats better.
