Look pivot warranty.

Has anyone had luck using the warranty with look past the 1 year mark? I’m passed on a few pairs and was thinking about breaking them down and repainting.

don’t have any issues and know it will void the warranty. So was just curious if anyone actually got a look warranty claim past a year? Or just say fuck it and paint them.
 
They won't warranty a painted binding. Rarely will a Pivot be warrantied as most issues are user related. The things are fucking metal dude

That was my point. Since I’m past the year and the warranty ended I thought why not paint them now. I know one you do anything to them the warranty is void.
 
absolute worst case scenario is something happens with the brakes and then just get new brakes. paint and post pls

They had a bad batch of heel plates a couple years ago that were failing in a very specific way. Those got warrantied iirc.

A g idea what build year those were? I have a few from 2021 till now

Not sure. The little "tab" that bends 90° up from the plate, has a hole where the threaded rod part of the heel attaches, were cracking and breaking. From a layperson's perspective it looked like a casting or materials issue. There were several pictures from different people with similar looking crack.

So the little tab that bends up that helps hold the whole baseplate to the metal pieces?
