Look Pivot 14/Rossi FKS 140 Forward pressure help

So i got a pair of used skis with FKS 140s on them, which is the same heelpiece as the Pivot 14's to my knowledge. I adjusted the forward pressure myself, so that the white thingy is in the middle of the two black thingys (which should mean that the forward pressure is set correctly). I went skiing on them today, and the binding seemed to perform great, it didn't prerelease or anything. I am however worried, that something is a little off, since i get a very silent and weak "pop" when i click into the bindings. Also, when i step out of the binding, i can lower the dildo with my poles and just step out easily, so that the dildo is still up. Is this reason for concern?

Sounds normal to me. As long as you can't force the heel to lift or move side to side when clicked on, it's not set too loose. Some people prefer setting the forward pressure so that the white tab sits at or just past the end of the second raised black mark.

Thanks, i moved it a bit so that the white part sticks out just a tiny bit, and the snap sound of the boot clicking in sounds so much better. Plus; it now only ejects my boot when the dildo is all the way down :)

Yes, too much forward pressure can easily be set and cause exactly what you described. The white tab doesn't always move past the hash marks when adjusting leading to too many turns on the heel. Sounds like already figured it out and smart of you to be aware of the weak sound/feel stepping in.

Good job op, I’m glad you have some

Horse sense. Most people think forward pressure on fks is just lining up the tabs. The sound, feel, springiness, and angle of the heel piece are all something to consider when setting them.

Seems like you got it spot on.

Send er dude

Thanks yall! Had a pretty rad crash today on them and they ejected as they should :) when your heels are free, your knees are happy
