Look bindings

As always it depends who you ask.

IMO if you can get any type of discount on them or you don't mind the price they are worth it. I have used pivots as one of my binding choices for the past couple of years (the other being Tyrolia Attacks). A couple of complaints that I have about them are they are pretty heavy, but in return, you get bombproof durability that I have yet to get out of any other binding. If you hike with your skis a lot (which I do) you will that the heel piece will always rotate out to the side and you have to lock them back into place. It's not a deal breaker, but it can get kind of annoying after a long day of skiing. On past models, I thought the toe piece was an absolute piece of crap, but now they changed it to be oversized due to all of the WTR boots hitting the market, so in return, the new toe piece is much more responsive than past years.

Of course, there is all the hype that surrounds them which doesn't really get me fanboying about them. My local Rossi rep assured that he skis them with a 4 din and never comes out of his bindings because of how responsive they are (I don't really believe it). It is a fact that they have the largest elastic travel of any binding on the market though, something which sold me on them after I injured my knee. I have noticed times where I have come out of skis in different angles that I normally would not have, but not too many were I can honestly tell you there is a major difference between them and my Tyrolias.

I was lucky and was able to get mine through working in the industry, but if the money does not bother you, I would say the bombproof durability and elastic travel make them worth it in my book.

i love the look of the bindings. but they are pricy. i will only buy another pair if i get a great deal on black friday. since there is bindings that work just as good for half the price. like the tyrolia attack

They're extremely good and very durable bindings. If you're a badass skier they're easily worth it. But if price and/or weight is a chief concern, tyrolia attacks are a great option (irrespective of badass factor)

The retention offered by them is great and I trust them more than any other binding. I don’t think I’ve ever prereleased from them.

My personal binding hierarchy in terms of retention and trustworthiness goes

1: pivot

2: sth

3: attack

4: jester
