longer twin tips

I have heard some ppl on this site say that a good freestyle twin tip shoud be shorter then u by a few inches. But how can they say this when almost all the pros use skis taller then them. Like Candide skiing 180's, same with Tanner, JF, Jp, and Mike D skiing 177's?

i wouldn't consider a 177 or 180 a long twin tip at all. something like the 193 line dragon or a 188 scratch bc would be a long twin tip.

well I meant like the ski legnth compared to the person hieght. Like is 177 good for a park ski for I guy who is 5'8'?

yeah, that would be a good lenght but ity all depends on what you like skiing aye, if you like big mountain and park then the JF would be great but if you only like park then go for something like the Vinnie or the 1260.

yeah, that would be a good size for someone who is 5'8'. i'm 5'9' and my park ski is a 178.

im 6 feet and i ski a 183 which is like a cm taller than me, and it works fine for jumps and really good for pow.
