Longboards?

I am like semi new to the whole longboarding thing and I'm trying to find a solid board. kinda want a more simple design but could care less. I just want a cruiser board, for like college and summer. I don't want to waste money on a beginner board since I've been using my friends NeverSummer board. I just wanna stop bumming off of him and get my own since I have some spare cash. thanks!

I have an omen mini sugar and its dope. But if you want a cheap cruiser get a Santa Cruz or landyacht

Just start asking around on any local websites you frequent or craigslist or shit.

I just picked up a complete neversummer board with an extra set of wheels for 75 bones. Thing is damn near new. Beach cruising here I come.

Another question. Said guy friend snagged the pro form/model for $150 with a killer discount for being a ski/board instructor, that being said, is that common for companies to do that? Looking down the road, if I actually get into like the whole long boarding thing, I am also a ski/board instructor and was just wondering if a lot of companies did that. (I forget the brand he got for his new board, but I'll figure that out).

if your mountain has a proform deal, hook it up and use it. Unreal amounts of stuff discounted. I got a 110 dollar full face shredready kayaking helmet for like 70 clams.

prepare for your mind to be blown though, soooooo much stuff to purchase on proform. I think there is actually a limit you can spend per year.

reminds me I gotta renew mine, I could use a new fly rod.

I don't think so, not sure how it works honestly, just find one of the higher ups or manager of your department or something and ask if they are a part of proform.

Think it's hooked up for all patrollers so maybe instructors, not sure about that.

I'm just on park crew and I was able to use it, but our manager is pretty badass and tech savvy.

If you're at a lame mountain they may not be involved at all.

I'll just ask how my friend did it. we work at the same place and have the same job so he'd probably know more than me. but is all that really necessary?

If he works at your mountain then it should be available to all employees and you should be good to go. Not necessary at all, go ahead and pay full price if you want but I thought you started this thread to save money?? Pro form is crazy cheap and has tons and tons of gear available, you're gonna want to sign up anyway trust me on this.

Also.......conduction???

I believe you were looking for conjunction?

dammit i am so embarrassed. can I blame just getting out of OChem for that one? I like cheap things, they make me happy.

NeverSummer is the way to go! they have amazing boards and the company in general is awesome! IMO get a freeride deck, symmetrical. I like a cambered board and freeride are the best for everything but just my two cents! Good luck and update us when you decide!

check out Bustin boards, they're awesome. i love mine. my sportster is really low to the ground, making it extremely easy to push

I prefer long for cruising, some prefer small. I got a really nice sector 9 bamboo deck for 70, threw on some old trucks, got really nice wheels from skate shop for 40, and abec 9 bearings for 20. Great setup for cruising for only $130ish

Landyachtz, Or bone your friend and snag that bro board for free. Pick it up on the DL and nug up with him, then 420 blaze your way down the shred streets.

hang 10 brah.

haha he wants to make it into a shelf after this season, I can't break the bond between a man and his board.

^this is true, rayne makes some sick stuff for freeriding too. Just go look around on silverfish forums and you can usually snag stuff for cheap
